Spy does have my favourite ever henchman though and I don't mean Sandor!

Jaws would be my favourite henchman but he was ruined in MR. My favourite now I think is Tee Hee, he was great. Either him, Samedi or Oddjob.

I can't decide between Oddjob or Dario, can't forget Dario. Jaws was already becoming a joke during Spy, unfortunately. Once was enough in hindsight.

Ah yeah I'd forgotten Dario. Actually another I forgot is Necros, he's probably my favourite thanks to the awesome plane fight.

My favorite henchmen are: Tee Hee, Oddjob, Gobinda and I don't know if we can consider Irma Bunt a henchwoman but her. Jaws was a clown in Mr. so that's what prevented me from picking him.

Never realized it wasn't written as part of the score. Very Bondian orchestration.
Well, It was co-written by John Barry...I think. ;)

That explains it. For the film?

Wow, lots of CR fans on this forum, and that recent poll showed it - The Spy Who Loved Me gets my vote though

    Yes.

The Living Daylights is lucky in that it has three songs written for the film. All of which are in the score.

Yes, and I don't think we've met previously. Good to meet you. Nice to hear a voice of restraint like yours amongst all this hype over SF. I so wanted it to better than it is.

Just a bit gutted right now really. Feel quite let down by Mendes, but I had my concerns about him from day one. I am just sorry that he confirmed my worst suspicions.

Tough choice as dearly love both! But i will go with CR.
  • I wasn't expecting it to beat CR since that's really popular on here but I thought Spy would do better than this.

I don't think it's that popular on here and I really don't get why. It's Moore's best for me, a proper classic.

Both films are great and very popular but CR is just the better movie but TSWLM has nothing to be ashamed of and is one of the winning movies of the series.

This is a difficult one to judge as they're both very different types of Bond film. The light humored 007 vs the deadly serious 007.

Considering there were elements I disliked about TSWLM when I first saw it back in 77 and that I didn't have the same reservations about CR I'll have to go for...

    Casino Royale
  • While I think that in this case Spy is the better Bond movie, I'm going to have to go with Casino Royal because it's a better all-round film.

Spy is classic Moore, but I prefer my Bond with a harder edge (and there are too many annoying bits in Spy) so it has to be Casino Royale a cracking Bond movie.

You guys are lucky. You've seen the movies dozens of times and can recall the movies at the drop of a hat. I usually have to look up the plot on the internet--especially with TSWLM which I never seem to remember.

Okay, I refreshed my memory. My choice is definately Casino Royale.
  • Casino Royale - by a mile and a half...

TSWLM is pretty good for being of the Moore era, but largely overrated and cheesy.
CR would have been the best in the franchise if they'd made the first 45 minutes a little
less action based. Good action though, but I can't really find it in the novel anywhere...

    Casino Royale.

@00Beast, I agree! Do return as swiftly as possible. Might I suggest CR vs. SF?
