  • Superman II probably, but I'm not going to name another nine as I wouldn't know quite what to include. I can't abide anything Batman, and haven't even seen most of the movies listed. Just not something I would ever want to see. I chose SM2 as it was better than the first and superior to the third and fourth, and it's the first thing that came to mind, so I'll go with that. A quite outstanding watch

Interesting that you list those two, I enjoy both immensely, yet most folk trash both viciously I find.

I'm not sure I've even seen enough to pick a top 10 but I like the Punisher, Judge Dredd and Batman films. V for Vendetta was cool and Avengers was fun too.

    Avengers was fun too.
If you see Incredible Hulk, then Iron Man, Captain America & Thor, Avengers is SO much better because they all lead right into it.

Theatrical, or Donner Cut? I like them both, and I believe that if Donner had completed Superman 2 back in 1980, it would have been better than the first.

Which version do you prefer? I happen to prefer the Donner Cut, except for Superman turning back time at the end.

I click the skip button twice as soon as I see Perry's bathroom, it's better that way.

You know, on paper I like the Donner Cut a lot because it's rather clever, but really I just can't get the 'pink bear' scene out of my head. Actually, last time I watched it, I started with the theatrical version, then switched over to the the Donner version about the time they hit the Fortress.

Compared to that over designed too-dark mess Man Of Steel, it's a classic.

Scrambled eggs with sausages, wholewheat toast, butter and strawberry jam.
But as I'm telling you this, that will no doubt affect the future.

Green figs, yogurt, coffee very black :)

But although I love Returns and would have loved to see a sequel, I'm really looking forward to Man of Steel.

Here's a question: If Donner had been allowed to complete both movies, I'm under the impression that instead of time traveling at the end of Superman one, Supes simply gets to the last bomb in the nick of time. Is that correct? They should have maybe added an alternate ending of the first movie to the beginning of the Superman II Donner Cut-- because the casual observer simply assumes 'he time travels twice', which isn't the case.

In Donner's original plan, Superman only time travels at the end of Superman II, not I

No, it won't. I was going to have toast (simple white bread, not whole wheat) for breakfast, and you've changed my mind none.

Well, they sort of did that by adding the scene where the missile opens up the Phantom Zone, but they still didn't fix the time travel thing.
