The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

And on a more serious note:

Quantum of Revelation (Bond gets a lead to the whereabouts of Quantum HQ)
City of Golden Dreams (a real nickname for New York- aka 007 in New York. Points for the return of the word 'gold/en' in the title)
Licence Renewed (Bond is officially cleared for duty after the events of Skyfall- he passes all his tests)
Hildebrand (drop the words 'The' and 'Rarity' from the title)

Actually "The Rarity" on it's own sounds pretty nice.

You're right- it does sound rather good, like a straight up spy thriller perhaps? (except the fish the name's based on turns out to be a red herring. :P )

Hoping they would use Gardner's title for Bond 24.

Also, EON can now use Licence Revoked- now that more than a quarter of the world has an online dictionary at their fingertips, and can quickly look up what 'revoked' means.

I really like Hildebrand, as a title. Its sounds much better than The Hildebrand Rarity.

On another note, its interesting that the top 3 most successful bond films have 1 word titles:
    #1. Skyfall
    #2. Thunderball
    #3. Goldfinger

Maybe audiences like 1 word titles. :)
  • I saw an awesome fan poster (forgot where) for Licence Renewed- it was to come out in 1991 and had Dalton returning as well as Carey Lowell! Looked like a direct sequel, just like QOS was to CR
    If only...

But anyway I like the title-- and 'Hildebrand' for that matter!

Yeah, why not just call the it The Dark Bond. Terrible ideas, sorry.
  • Of what I've seen, I like Hildebrandand 'The Rarity'.

Just saw this image from The Hour on BBC. Does Dominic West look like he could pull off a good Bond? We already have Q and a possible Moneypenney there...

But Skyfall is The Dark Bond :-)) Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace is James Bond Begin, and probably the next film, I'll nickname that film "007 rises".

    :-))

Rarity sounds like a horror movie to me and Hildebrand sound like an old lady's name. Although The Hildebrand Rarity is not a great name it is better than the sum of its parts.

Rising only matters once you have fallen. Batman is probably the only film to freaking understand that, while most others followed the pack.

I got a cool name not for Bond 24 but for a future Bond film, if any of you read Raymond Benson's Bond continuity you would recognize this word what about Shamelady as a future Bond title.

All these origin or rising titles are not making sense with where Bond is at now. He is no longer the rookie, but a mature and absolutely competent agent.

    ^That is an awesome pic.
  • I love to read people's ideas about Bond titles but somehow (and I mean no disrespect when I say this), the titles that are original fan ideas sound corny- The Fleming titles (Risico/POAL) certainly sound better- However, a "title" with true Fleming origins that I have ALWAYS thought would be an excellent title for a movie comes from Chapter 13 of CR

"A Whisper of Love, A Whisper of Hate"

Or probably better still (as this is a bit long), just.......

    "A WHISPER OF HATE"
