Positive review vs. Negative review of QUANTUM OF SOLACE

All right in my next video review, I'm gonna be talking about QUANTUM OF SOLACE, a Bond film I don't particularly care for (in fact I consider it to be the worst in the series). However, for this review, I had an idea to include another character, a geeky character, no offense to those who like the film, praising QUANTUM OF SOLACE (or at least saying it's not so bad). So I'm looking for positive reviews of the movie to counterweight my criticisms.

Here's a brief synopsis of why I don't like this film:

It’s badly written, badly directed, has no interesting characters, you have no idea what’s going on for the entire film and Daniel Craig gives the worst Bond performance of all time (Bare in mind I loved him in CASINO ROYALE). In this film, he's unemotional and frankly an asshole. He's nothing like Fleming's creation. Yes Fleming depicted Bond as a dark figure, but also with a suave sometimes humorous exterior.

There's a moment in this film when Craig dumps Mathis’ body in the trash and takes the money out of his wallet. "He wouldn't care." That's when I stood up and said "I don't care about Bond anymore."

Marc Foster even admitted he doesn't like James Bond, or even CASINO ROYALE that much and it shows. The film is so rushed, so convoluted. The action scenes are badly edited to the point where you can't see what's going on. And they also use some noticeable CGI shots (it's just cutting away so fast, you can barely notice anything). At least with the Kite-surfing in DIE ANOTHER DAY, I could see what was going on. It was stupid, but I knew what was happening. Because of the rushed editing, I still don't really know what's happening in this film.

Not a big fan of Greene or the bond girl. Their back stories are interesting enough but not very developed and their performances are so bland. Strawberry Fields, aside from her name, isn't that interesting either and the sex scene between the two seems really awkward.

I also feel like they should have left the CASINO ROYALE story alone and moved on to another story like SKYFALL. Daniel Craig could turn out to be one of the best Bond actors, but for me at least, he’s got a long way to go to make up for QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

So those are my thoughts, please give me some differing views. I'd appreciate it.

    Jimmy, thanks for the insight. I respect ur opinions but I will offer a rebuttal......so u like "boom bang bang, kiss a woman who becomes a sacrificial lamb or is a traitor, boom, meet a damsel in distress who the villain with two rectums gets a third one by taking the damsel hostage as Bond relies ona gadget at just the perfect time for boom boom Bond where r u kiss kiss the end, thanks for ur moneys ...we'll do it again in two years folks"?

    Funny, because it looks exactly like a review to me. Why not post it in the reviews thread and ask for differing opinions there? Or follow @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7's link and post it there to see if you can receive some differing appreciation?

    This is exactly why I stopped telling people where to direct their duplicate threads: because they want to fight about it. It just isn't that grand of an idea to make a new thread about, when we have two different currently existing threads that pretty much cover the entirety of this.

    Ditto that. People who call QOS worse than the likes of MR and DAD as an example, I just don't bother to waste my time as it's like conversing with the wall.

    QOS is not what I'd call a series gem but it had a load of issues that most of the other 22 did not, and it still beats the likes of the above and 2-3 others.
