    @Arsenal02071: Oh wow, you actually like the duel between Bond and Renard? I for one think it's pretty lazy and lackluster. That's my only squabble over TWINE's finale. It's just kind of lame, especially considering that Renard is supposed to push himself harder and longer than any man. Both he and Brosnan's Bond in that finale look like 90 year old men in a nursing home fighting over who gets the last scoop of the chocolate pudding.

    My favorite fight was the final fight between Bond and Trevelyn in GoldenEye.

    A bit harsh, but I know what you mean. That has always been a let down for me in an otherwise pretty good film. Although RC is a great actor I don't think he had the physical presence to make you believe he could best Bond. A good opportunity for a vicious fight a la FRWL.

    I wouldn't call it the worst fight in the series (that honour goes to the warehouse fight in AVTAK for me) but it is a bit...average. Haphazard made some good points about the "no pain" gimic not being used as well as no reference to Bond's shoulder. Perhaps it had healed by then.

    I like the GE fight against Alec but it has to be Bond vs Necros on the plane. Brutal, dangerous, and really hard to pull off.

    My only squabble with that fight is that since it takes place on a loose cargo net dangling high above the air on the back of a plane, there wasn't any room for real fisticuff action, leaving some rather lazy and sleepy moments where all we get is the danger aspect and not enough of the fight. Also, Timothy Dalton is probably the worst out of all the Bonds in regards to his fighting style. Even Roger had done better than him in his earlier movies like LALD and TMWTGG.

    Dalton could move faster than Moore and was probably in better physical shape. But nonetheless he had a couple of naff fights too. The fight in the jail in TLD springs to mind.

    This too much now, but now that you mention it, the fight in Afghanistan at the jail complex was a bit embarrassing, even for Dalton standards. Bond goes through the door (it's open), does a whistle, and the chief jailor and some goons just go along with the device and whistle along, I mean it's like 'shut the freakin' door', and Maryam d'Abo just stands around looked confused as the fight is underway, apart from hit some guy over the head with a bucket I think it was?, - pretty lame sequence of events for sure

    Even in License to Kill, the fight at the Bimini Bar in Florida was pretty poor, but Benicio Del Toro was a saving grace as he was involved and made it so much more watchable

    Yeah I never liked the jail fight, but I do like the LTK bar fight.

    007 vs 006 in Goldeneye. The entire fight scene was amazing! It was a very personal/intense fight scene. Pierce Brosnan & Sean Bean did their own stunts for that scene.

    While it is also my favorite, I believe the only one they didn't do was the dive through the metal bars bit. I also want to say Brosnan getting shoved onto the table wasn't him, either.

    That fight was awesome in Goldeneye, not including the overly british sounding "OOOOGGHH" when Bond slides down the ladder lol.

    I'm also pretty sure Brosnan messed up his shoulder (in real life) when the ladder stops. Overall, both of the characters become incredibly hurt throughout that fight, but, of course, Trevelyan's pain takes the cake.

    I think Connery and Moore also suffered some kind of injury on set as well if im not mistaken.

    This might sound kind of lame, but the intro to Majesty is my top. Lazenby has such an amazing physicality, and it just feels very Bondian.

    I think big props have to go to Bond's fight with Slate. It's a very painful looking sequence. However, the archetype for every Bond fight scene has to be Connery and Shaw going for it in FRWL. It doesn't feel rehearsed in any way; it just seems like two guys trying to tear lumps out of each other. Great fight scene.

    However, I think it was Martin Campbell who really understood the essence of what made the FRWL fight so good. In his DVD commentaries he talks of how he wanted the fight scenes to take place in small contained areas. It's the reason why the hand-to-hand stuff in GE and CR is so good.

    The fight in GE is excellent as it's really a battle between two very evenly contested opponents. Typically Bond being Bond has the upper hand but here he's essentially fighting a version of himself.

    The fights in CR are so good because there's a real pain behind them all, they make you wince mainly because Dan sells it so well.
