    Thanks @Qba007 .
I watched Thunderball on sunday so that would explain why it felt so familiar.

New quote - "You took the words right out of my mouth"

    Pam to Dario in LTK.
  • Sorry @Qba007 it's not that one.
Yes, I know that quote is in LTK as well but note that there is no exclamation mark in my quote. ;)
    Keep guessing.

May as well have a try at this while we're at it

I'm not totally aware that quote was used twice in the Bond franchise apart from the obvious Pam Bouvier / Dario scene, but have a sneaking suspicion it may have been said in OHMSS, when Bond gets married, and Q (Llewelyn) is talking to Bond (Lazenby)

    Just a feeling

    Neither was I.

Nobody has it yet I am afraid.
I too was not aware it was used twice and also thought it only used in LTK, which is obviously the one we all remember.

    *edit*
Apologies to all I made a mistake. I found this quote online and it turns out it doesn't exist
here is the link to the site. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086034/trivia?tab=qt&qt0432193
It is supposedly during the scene with Orlov in the train.

Should have checked it myself but it is a very reputable site and that is why I trusted it.
I suppose it should go to @Qba007 then.

Again very sorry guys, but It would have been a good one if it existed.

How about Camille in QoS to...I think Greene? That is the second one that came to mind.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, while you have me thinking that that line is in QoS, it isn't the one I'm thinking of. I apologize if this one was too broad.

How about Vesper to Bond? I think of the scene in CR where she tells Bond she won't let him buy back in.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, no, but that scene irks me. While we're on that, does Vesper 'deem that prudent' because it gives Le Chiffre a bigger chance of winning, thus increasing her chances of 'getting Yusef back'? Or did she honestly feel that Bond was foolish in his play style?

I thought of the same thing as I type my query. This wasn't at the time where I feel she truly fell for Bond yet, so I think it is more likely it was a ploy to get Yusef back; but there is also something in me that thinks she found him to be reckless and didn't want to waste the money. If she did give Bond more cash to buy back in, the Treasury might slap her wrist for acting reckless herself by giving more money to a failing operation. Therefore she could be exposed as a mole and Yusef would be lost, so maybe she just wasn't risking it by putting her neck out. The thing that makes me curious is her demeanor at the victory dinner scene, during which she isn't unhappy that Le Chiffre lost. Maybe she is just putting on a smile, I am not sure, but she seems genuinely happy Bond won. But since White plotted a way to get the money by stopping Le Chiffre from killing Bond and letting Bond fall into Vesper's trap, the money was his anyway no matter if Le Chiffre won and secured it or it White had to kill him and take it anyway.

And remember, Yusef is a Quantum member and was using Vesper, so it was all a ploy to get the money and never about him being captured for ransom in all reality. So while Vesper was trying to save Yusef by betraying Bond and getting around MI6, Yusef was really just using her as a means to get the money when it was discovered that Le Chiffre was being loose with his cash. So that must mean Quantum and White were fully aware of Le Chiffre's loss of Obanno's cash in the stock at the time where Bond makes his way to Montenegro for the game, explaining why Vesper suddenly pops up. We know this because her sole purpose there was to get the money or maybe just make sure Le Chiffre got it back. But I assume that when Obanno and his man are killed White grows wary of the business, comes to settle it himself, killing Le Chiffre and making it so that Bond and Vesper are kept alive long enough for Bond to give her the password and to deliver it in Venice to his men.

    OR

Quantum/White had the plan all along to plant Vesper with Bond to make sure he won against Le Chiffre (who could no longer be trusted), and they would then have her play Bond's heart and insure he beat Le Chiffre. After Bond won the cash, they would have Vesper meet them and take it. But things didn't go to plan when Le Chiffre kidnapped Vesper and captured Bond, so White had to go and stop Le Chiffre before he did something fatal to Bond, and then set it up so that the money came to him through Vesper in Venice.

The only thing that doesn't add up with that theory is why Vesper didn't let Bond buy back in. Did she or Quantum know of Felix and therefore guessed he would come through and give Bond the money to buy back in? Or maybe since White was already in Montenegro by the time the final round of cards was set to be played and planned to capture Le Chiffre once he left the casino with the cash if he won and would then take it and kill him for his distrustful nature. If that is indeed the case, Bond getting Felix's cash to buy back in upset the plan and then gears shifted where Quantum kept them alive until Bond gave Vesper the password and she was then able to give the cash to Quantum while in Venice.

    Ouch...by head hurts... #-o
  • Elektra to Bond?
  • I think @Skyfall007silva might have it.
However, it does sound like something Christmas Jones might say to Bond?

@Skyfall007silva has it. It's when Bond breaks in to the manor and tells Elektra about meeting Renard.

"That monster? He disgusts me. You disgust me."

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, it's quite possible that they already knew who Felix was, as Greene knows who he is on the plane ride to Bregenz. Maybe they knew who he was going in to the casino, and Quantum wanted to work with him, in a way, through Greene.

Happens to the best of us! There have been times that I've been stumped on a quote, just to find out it's from one of my favorite Bond films, and I kick myself for not recalling the scene in question.

Bond to Tracy in OHMSS? It just made me think of "We Have All the Time in the World."
