With the SpyHunter film in the pipeline, the P1 would be one of my picks for the Interceptor.
@Copenhagen_87
I don't think this will ever happen !
For good reason too!
LOL , picture Craig in his lovely Tom Ford's driving this :))
I'm not so sure - it's his ride in Casino Royale, Live and Let Die and Moonraker (novels) and we went back to the DB5 in Skyfall afterall - it wouldn't be his primary mode of transport, more a personal car (perhaps 4 1/2 Litre and Vanquish as his two cars in a film?).
He wins a Bentley Mk.VI in a card game in Moonraker (obviously a plot device used in CR so it couldn't be used again but he could win it some other way (i can foresee perhaps a race? - winner takes 4 1/2 Lire?)
Non-British (and pseudo British [Infinti] options)
BMW i8
Not a fan of returning to BMW personally but given that BMW owns Rolls, perhaps Wraith for Bond 24 and i8 for Bond 25?
BMW 6 Series/M6/6 Series Gran Coupe
the other BMW option - go with a tuner version like AC Schnitzer to make it look more menacing; again possibility if we get a BMW/RR three movie deal
Lincoln/Mercury/Ford
Bond in the past has had a very strong association with models from the greater Ford Motor Company (FoMoCo). While the next Mustang (which will be sold globally) could be a good option (particularly in GT500 Super Snake form) and we'd all love to see a 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 back on screen soon (it's not quite as iconic as the DB5 or the Espirit, but it's up there with the Mustang Mach 1 from DaF and AMC Matador in the 2nd rung of cars from Bond lore), Lincoln may in fact be a good bet.
Lincoln is desperate to sexy up it's image - it's actually producing for the first time in decades some good looking cars, it lacks a 2 door halo model for Bond, but it could be great in scenes as the 'incidental' car - the hire car, the car stolen for a chase scene, someone else's wheels Bond borrows;
Lincoln MKZ
Lincoln MKC

Mustang based Lincoln due by 2015

Agreed. Personally I want a change from the Aston, and a new Saab could work like the Ford Mondeo did in CR. Also, a nice subtle nod to Gardner's Bond.
I can see Craig's Bond being driven around the English countryside in one of these, but him driving it himself? :-? I'm not sure it would suit him.
A Dakar-style chase scene would be great to see.
Bond back with BMW? Hell no. (..and I drive one.)
An offroad chase? Sure, but wouldn't that take way too much set up? How did Bond get the car and why is he in a desert? Why do the baddies have those cars (meaning the Dakar vehicles)?
I want to see Bond in the latest 2dr Aston, and to make it interesting how about a car chase in the Aston along a coastline, where the Aston has no traction among the waves washing up on shore? THAT is 'Bond special'.
Lincoln Mk.VII in Licence to Kill
I'm not suggesting it as his 'signature' car (to use QoS as an example - the DBS), but rather in 'additional roles' (Ford Edge, Ford Ka, Range Rover - in QoS). Ford is trying to 'resurrect' Lincoln - so I reckon they'd be keen for a movie tie in
http://www.dailyfinance.com/2012/12/06/ford-resurrects-lincoln-luxury-car-analysis/
I also said, I'd not like the Beemer, but if we can get a three movie deal which gives Bond access to the RR Wraith, the inevitable Wraith convertible and a BMW I'd be cool with that compromise.
I agree it would be a difficult set up for an offroad/desert chase - but it would be awesome and needn't be restricted to Dakar vehicles either, the one I have a picture of is a street legal version VW put out in small numbers in 2011.
Other Bond options for Offroad sequence:
Any Land Rover/Range Rover (Defender, Disco 4, RRS, RRV, Evoque)
According to this leaked planning document there'll be plenty of models JLR will want to be trying to flog over the next few years that could use a cinema cameo...
Bad Guys Options (offroad):
Mercedes Benz 6x6 Zetros Mongolian Hunting Truck
Mercedes Benz G63 AMG 6x6
URO Vamtac 'the Spanish Hummer'
Lamborghini LM002
GAZ Kombat
GAZ Tiger
Knight XV
Dartz Prombon
I'd still have to say though put hi in an Aston; or if not an Aston an F-Type, a McLaren (P1 or MP4-12C or a coachbuilt model I don't like the X1 pictured below, but I reckon there are some designers at Mac who could come up with something great), or the new Bristol/Frazer-Nash (it looks great). The offroader/old Bentley could be woven into the story somewhere (as could the Infiniti Emerg-E/Jag C-X75, I know they only made a few of each, but they're jaw droppingly pretty cars)
Mac X1
There are also quite a few hybrid/alternative fuel supercars/exotica to be shown this week at the 2013 Monte Carlo Alternative Fuels Rally (http://www.acm.mc/page-tab-elec.php?id_menu=6&id_sousmenu=31&lg=en) including that Hydrogen powered Rapide.
Another idea - the DBS from OHMSS wasn't destroyed (like the Espirit, the V8, the 750Li and the last Vanquish), a return ala the DB5?
That was Amazing ! I totally love that sequence, I really hope we get another action chase scene again !
I don't think you are looking at it realistically , looks like a list of cars you'll fantasize to drive.
That isn't the point is it, There's no problem liking these cars but its about what Bond will drive and a lot of them just sound a bit ridiculous.
The most probable company's Bond could partner with is Ford, Jaguar, Range Rover and last and in no means the least is the Aston Martin.
That Hideous Bentley was of a by gone era but that itself is not the problem ,
Aston Martin DB5 had a 'classic' status after Goldfinger. Bentley never was associated with Bond in the movies,
I'd disagree, we're it a list of cars I fantasize about driving there would be a significant;y higher proportion of Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes etc (though still the Macs, Jags and AMs). For the offroaders yes I suggested some interesting models - but I also only suggested Bond drive a Racing Touareg or a Landie (he has driven Land Rovers in QoS, SF, TLD and [very briefly] in CR).
Here's a better picture of the leaked LR plans
I disagree on the Bentley 4 1/2, it's beautiful where modern Bentley's are hideous save for the Brooklands - I can see Bond in a Brooklands...
Putting in the Bentley 4 1/2 would be a great nod to the fans (like putting the DB5 in SF), I admit it's not the icon that the DB5 is - but I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to see it make a big screen debut-perhaps as Bond's personal car, a chase in the Yorkish Moors vs. some modern (but fairly ordinary models) would make a great PTS.
For modern models I'm limiting selection to
- AM's Vanquish, One-77, Vantage V12, Vantage Zagato or Rapide S; or
Vantage SP10;
Vanquish AM310
- Jag's F-Type V8S or C-X75
- McLaren's P1, MP4-12C or a coachbuilt special
- Bristol/Frazer-Nash hybrid supercar (the Namir)
I can bet 1000$ Bond won't drive a Bentley (especially not the one you posted earlier) or the majority of the cars you mentioned.
Mate, You've got to look at it more realistically.
Now the last two suggestions you gave are very much possible .
In fact I think the AM310 could very much be it, since remember Bond's choice in CR and QoS were DBS, Vanquish AM310 is the direct successor to that car.
option?
I like it. It's sleek, classy and it's British. Wire spokes, too. I could see Bond in this, provided he's suited up.
the Chrysler ME4 12
potential Bentley Mulsanne Convertible (Winterised ala TLD's Aston V8 for the film - Bond can't pull off most convertibles, especially not a Bentley)
Further potential offroaders;
Jeep Wrangler Stitch
Jeep Wrangler Flattop
Jeep Wrangler Mopar Recon
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk II
Jeep Wrangler Sand Trooper II
Jeep Wrangler Slim
Though I'd still prefer a LR of some description, Bond has actually used a Jeep onscreen before - briefly in Moonraker (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079574/trivia?tab=tr&item=tr0627075)
Also, the V8 Vantage is due to be retired soon, so Bond 24 could be the perfect place to show the follow-up car. I'm hoping they call it the DB8 Vantage (they skipped DB8 because the DB9 had a V12, but the V8 Vantage uses a V8). 2014/2015 fits for a reveal.
Roger Moore had some fine moments in various cars, the Citroen 2CV, Renault 11 & the Alpha Romero GTV6 to mention a few, perhaps this ability to improvise could be part of a new action sequence, there are some mini hot hatches that could be commandeered at an opportune moment, the new Fiat Abarth 500 would be nice, especially racing around somewhere in Italy.
As with Dalton, in the very British fashion of true eccentricity and "necessity being the mother of all invention", he even took advantage of the cello case to slip across the boarder, which he had previously argued would have been better left behind...

That silver one is not an Aston Martin DBS? Damn I'll have to change my Facebook picture.
