But as said i hope DC wil stay for a fift at the moment and let's hope there don't make same mistake as with Brosnan. His fift movie wil be the moost discus movie if not the 4th did it and more then QOS or DAD i think, but not because of him and then he is already 1 movie further then Brosnan.
But looking at him then and now:
It's no wonder people took so much against him after that press conference, he really came to embody the Bond character in those few months pre-production on CR. It's a testament to how good an actor he is.
Just started watching OFITN again, getting a chance to savour 3 of Britain's finest talents in some of their most significant roles. Nicky, Geordie & Tosker.
Since then, neither QOS nor SF had the same effect on me.
But I still consider Daniel the best Bond ever.
I can't wait till october 2015 :-((
Happy birthday @Dragonpol
Time does go by fast. I remember it very well, a friend told be about it and showed me a (extremely unflattering) photo of Craig, I was terrified. I'm so happy I was proven wrong.
Thank you, lovely @Sandy.
This announcment were just in the time when my Bond-interest started to grow, i had just seen my first Bond-film (TND) but i don't think i payed that much attention to the announcment though. I just thought it was odd with all the criticism because i knew that Moore was partly blonde in his films.
But i was just 9 years old and a huge Brosnan-fanboy then.
But it wasn't until the first couple of promotional stills and such that I was completely won over. When that iconic trailer was released, I was über-thrilled. I was sucked into this new Bond thing like a planet in a black hole. And I've been a loyal Craig fan ever since.
In a strange quirk of fate I actually think Craig has helped pave the way for his successor to be even more seminal. The movies themselves have pushed the series into a critical realm more akin to the sixties entries. This is something I can see sticking, if of course EON maintain the current trajectory. Couple this with the fact that 'most' of Craig's detractors cite his appearance and physicality as their main bug-bear, you can instantly see how a more Fleming-esque casting next time around could, and I say 'could', represent a situation that minimises the naysayers.
Unbelievable. Time really does fly.
I can't believe it's been a decade. I was in highschool when this was announced and was immediately thrilled beyond words that they weren't continuing in the DAD route. But even I didn't think the Craig Era would reach the heights that it has.
What a ride it's been.
