It looks like Fisher was offered to direct You only Live Twice. I wish he didn't turn that down, a Bond film directed by him would've been kinda cool.
“Oh I’d certainly be willing to talk about it. The 10-year-old in me would think there’s probably no higher honor than talking about that… I think [Bond producers] Barbara Broccoli and Michael [G. Wilson] are making some really interesting choices about who they use at the moment, so I think they’ve reinvigorated that franchise in a brilliant way.”

or Tim Burton??
Sign me up for that! I'm all in favor of giving Tom Hooper a crack at it!
No offense but hell no.
With TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY, he made it clear that he can handle a witty spy film.
Is Hooper on first name terms with them? Interesting. :)

He work with a fames TLD Bond girl for this movie from 1993.
Then Colette McWilliams Carrilho who work him at In Your Dreams as production designer can return as one of the art department people, she work on Twine and Harry Potter 3.
As Visual Effects and editor there can consider Anthony Stadler who do Visual Effects of Sunshine, Captain America and X-men 3.
Asif Kapadia. For Bond 25. A sugestion in style of my earlier sugestion of Shekhar Kapur. In specialy with somebody like John Logan can be very intresting. From his imdb page http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0438090 : BAFTA winning filmmaker, Asif Kapadia is known for his visually striking films exploring characters living in timeless, extreme and unforgiving landscapes. Work before with Michelle Yeoh and Sean Bean for Far North.

Second United directer of Eragon is Andy Amstrong, the brother of Vic Amstrong.
Only Joking.
Nolan would be good, maybe Brian DePalma.
Those are all good names, but Tarantino is not suited for Bond as much as I love his films. Let him have Modesty Blaise instead. Or better still, do a sequel to the MAN WITH NO NAME trilogy from the 60s. Hugh Jackman in the lead.
Is he good in it but the directing bad? Can't say I'm too fussed about seeing it. Thought Thor was entertaining though.
Not that I'd like to see Brannagh direct a Bond movie, but what made you change your mind?
-The locations were in the American Southwest/Mexico (duh)
-The film had a plot concerning drug violence in Mexico
I also think Alfonso Cuaron could do a killer Bond film.
