    Yes, it would be more elegant. The first twelve sections are the main ones, the important ones, well to me anyway. The last six are more of a bonus ratings, not important to warrant a ten, but not unimportant not to matter.

    Well, as expected here are the updated results for Dr No. Our combined rating is.......

    78.7%


    Yes, via @DarthDimi and @MrBond's ratings has gone up from 75.4%, to the quite heady 78.7%. Thank you guys! ;-).

    Which is just under the range that I expected Dr No to be in.

    4. Plot - 7 (Silva's escape really hurt this...)

    7. Main Bond Girl - 8 (wish we'd seen more of her)

    11. Cinematography - 10 (I knew they'd shot a lot of SF in Pinewood, but buggered if I can see the joins)
    12. Fleming - 8 (the spirit of Ian Fleming courses through SF, which is quite remarkable, given that the source material had been exhausted long ago)

    13. Supporting Cast - 4 (only Harris prevents it from being a perfect 5)
    14. Main Titles - 5 (stunning)
    15. Plausibility - 4 (apart from Silva's escape* and Bond surviving his plunge in the water of course...)
    16. Pace - 5 (I thought SF flew by, despite being one of the longest films in the series)
    17. Editing - 4
    18. Tilt - 4

    *if you think hard enough about the dreaded escape plan, most of it can be explained, albeit be it very tenuously...

    Overall: 127/150

    Percentage: 84.6%

    Agreed, Skyfall has beautiful cinematography, truly beautiful.

    I honestly don't get what the fuss is about on that front. Not that it's bad or anything, just for me not particularly noteworthy (probably sums up a lot of my feelings about the film). I think for me the lack of expansive and seductive location shooting reduced the visual impact of a lot of the film, but that's obviously a minority view. That's not Deakin's fault though, and I did give cinematography one of the highest scores, so overall I'd still say it's one of the best things about the film.

    @Getfix - that's something I guess. ;-). Regarding the cinematography in SF, it isn't in the same league as DN or TB for example, due to the facts you said.

    Oh, I still love SF's cinematography, but not as much as other films in the series.

    If I'd have enjoyed the film more I'd have probably ranked the cinematography more highly. A beautiful shot is no good if you're not enjoying the rest of the film though.

    Well, Skyfall is a much more divisive movie than Dr No it would seem. From a low point of 72/150 to a high point 134/150, Skyfall has more range. Thanks to everyone to has contributed. :-)

    Our combined rating for Skyfall is - 75.4%
