Does anyone know of a link online to watch this without buying the Collector's Edition of CR?

No, not yet, but you've reminded me that I really need to get the Blu-Ray of Casino Royale now I have a new Blu-Ray Player. The documentary does sound very interesting indeed.

I haven't found any link anywhere online for it. I too, have never seen it. Maybe it's time to cough up and buy the new edition.

Is that only on the Region B edition, or is it on the American version, as well?

Just saw it. Thought it was fascinating.

Lots on Ivar Bryce and Fleming's inner circle in Jamaica.

Thanks for giving your time to this. I'll read the link now.
  • The documentaries on this 3 cd set are excellent.
I especially loved Ian Fleming: The Secret Road to Paradise which told of Fleming's connection with the Bahamas, and also told the story of how EON made the Bahamas their second home. Also the background and stories about Thunderball were also very inciteful, and fascinating.

There was also an excellent documentary called The Real Casino Royale, which aired on British TV around the same time as the Craig version was released. To my knowledge it has never appeared on DVD, but it is one of the most literary-minded documentaries on Bond.

Is this one? It's dubbed in Russian unfortunately, so only of any use to SMERSH.

No, though interestingly enough it has the exact same title. The video you've posted is actually a non-Bondian crime documentary, with the following description: "Behind the scenes at Mayfair's decadent Clermont Club casino, criminal bosses stole millions of pounds from the glamorous guests. This is the story of one of Britain's most successful gambling cons."

The version I was referring to was described thus: "Andrew Graham-Dixon examines the life of Ian Fleming and goes on a mission to uncover the inspiration for his first Bond book Casino Royale. Featuring previously unseen archive of Fleming, and exclusive interviews with his friends, family and actor Daniel Craig."
A shame the documentary seems to have aired just once and been forgotten. I'll try and see if I can post it on youtube.

I'll have to see and find out how it can be done first, I have no idea. Also I need to find the DVD, as most of my things are packed away (we're selling my Dad's house, where I lived) so it will happen at some stage, just maybe not straight away.
