I was hard to choose score because they are both great and it was hard on allies because they are both weak on that account.
Tibbet? Weak?! I say...
I completly forgot about Tibbet!! I was thinking only on Chuck Lee. What a huge mistake! Of course Tibbet was a great ally.
Ah, I see. I forgot about Chuck Lee.
PTS: AVTAK (I like how there's a variety of 'locations' in DAF's PTS, but that's about it)
Title Track: AVTAK (difficult decision, but ultimately went with dynamic 80s over eerie classic)

Title Track: AVTAK (One of the all-time great Bond themes, regardless of your feelings on the rest of the movie.)
Title Credits: AVTAK
Main Villain: AVTAK (Charles Gray's take on Blofeld was certainly unique, but nothing competes with Christopher Walken!)
Main Bond Girl: AVTAK
Overall Plot: AVTAK
Dialogue: DAF (Tough call between Roger's banter with Walken, and Sean's banter with anyone else in the movie.)
Score: AVTAK
Settings: AVTAK (Both the Eiffel Tower and the Golden Gate Bridge.)
Action: AVTAK (DAF has some great fisticuffs and a couple great chases, while AVTAK has chases on foot, horseback, car, fire truck . . .)
Humor: DAF (Tempted to give this to AVTAK, since Roger Moore's Bond films tended to have more humor, but this is one of Sir Roger's more serious Bond films vs Sir Sean's most comedic.)
Cinematography: AVTAK
Benign Bizarre: DAF (That diamond-made doomsday device and moon buggy chases pretty much blow anything bizarre about AVTAK out of the water.)
Suspense: DAF
Minor Characters: DAF (Plenty O'Toole, Klaus Hergesheimer, Shady Tree . . . The list of small but memorable characters in DAF goes on and on.)
Glamour: DAF
Ally: AVTAK (Patrick Macnee's Sir Godfrey Tibbet)
A View To A Kill: 11
Diamonds Are Forever: 6
AVTAK has always ranked significantly higher for me than DAF.
Title Track: DAF Eerie, spooky, uplifting Bassey/Barry collaboration evoking the GF tradition. My 2nd favourite Bond title, after of course GF.
Title Credits: DAF Binder brilliance
Main Villain: DAF Charles Grey is best Blofeld IMO. He is a big man. His presence reminds of Fleming's Blofeld that Bond meets in YOLT. Grey combines a potent blend of camp and malevolance and he benefits from smart Mankiewicz dialogue too.
Main Bond Girl: DAF Jill St John as Tiffany Case may be the ultimate fantasy vision of womanhood, brains and beauty and sass.
Overall Plot: DAF Very much follows the general Fleming narrative ie Bond on the trail of the diamond pipeline, updated for 1971. Fleming's general outline sexed up.
Dialogue: DAF Mankiewicz should have won an Oscar, both snappy and smart.
Score: DAF One of Barry's best. Powerful stuff. Heightens the danger and suspense.
Settings: DAF Colourful entertaining settings such as Circus Circus, the Whyte House penthouse, Blofeld's undergound lair and lab, the desert moon buggy locale. Vegas itself, oil-rig ocean setting, Holland, Africa
Action: DAF. Sean pounding on baddies. He throws a heavy punch in this film and does a nice job handling both the Mustang and moon buggy.
Humor: DAF One zinger after another but never too frivolous. Not only delivered by Connery but also St John, Grey, Norman Burton as Leiter, Wint and Kidd..
Cinematography: DAF. Vegas at night. Desert by day. Lots of colour and contrast in this film.
Benign Bizarre: DAF. Wint and Kidd are pure camp villainy. Transition from the cat screech to the opening titles is very well done. Blofeld has indeed gone to hell.
Suspense: DAF. Connery gets in some tight spots, especially the coffin scene. The suspense is aided by Barry's dramatic score.
Minor Characters: DAF (Plenty O'Toole, Klaus Hergesheimer, Shady Tree, Slumber, Bambi and Thumper, . . . The list of small but memorable characters in DAF goes on and on.)
Glamour: DAF Jill St John is all glam. Cheesy glam at times but still glam. Same with Plenty
Ally: DAF. Norman Burton's Felix is great foil for Connery. They play off each other very natually. Entertaining repartee. Reminds of Cec Linder's Felix in GF. That's probably the Guy Hamilton touch at work.
DAF: 17
AVTAK:0
DAF is a near perfect Bond film. A glorious homage of sorts to the golden era of Bond that preceded whilst foreshadowing the escapist '70s fare to come.
Also works as a sendoff for both Connery Bond and Blofeld. The two antagonists have lots of scenes together, which build on their repartee from both YOLT and OHMSS.
Grey's maniacal Blofeld seems to revel in their history. Connery as Bond though merely endures the banter, whilst looking for means to end the madman once and for all.
Manages to kill Blofeld twice, but alas foiled by doubles. Blofeld does empathize.
The movie does a nice job tying up their history, and motivated this viewer to find the older films and delve into what evolved the pair to this point.

A worthy tie. Two of my favourite films!
Title Credits: DN (bit of a mess, but LTK's were a tired reuse of an old formula, and I'm especially bothered by them because Binder went out on a whimper)
Main Villain: LTK (best in the series)
Main Bond Girl: LTK (I don't really favour Honey tbh and I warmed to Pam a lot on my last viewing)
Overall Plot: LTK (wins for the Yojimbo elements)
Dialogue: DN (LTK is a bit too American)
Score: LTK (lol. Seriously? People are voting for Norman? If this was DN vs. FYEO you'd have a leg to stand on. But to say Norman is better than Kamen is ridiculous)
Settings: DN (Jamaica!)
Action: LTK (Duh. DN has a couple fistfights and that's pretty much it.)
Humor: DN (though I can't really recall anything exceptionally funny)
Cinematography: LTK (I like a lot of the shots in LTK)
Benign Bizarre: DN (Crab Key)
Suspense: LTK (Seriously, is Bond ever really in danger in DN?)
Minor Characters: LTK (Professor Joe! Yay!)
Glamour: DN
Ally: DN (Quarrel!!! I really like Sharkey but funny enough, he is sort of the poor man's Quarrel in a way, isn't he?)
Wow, 8-8. That is not at all reflected in my rankings. DN is like 11th or 12th and LTK is somewhere between 4 and 6.

Title Track: LTK - for me any track but DN - I've passed saturation point now and I truly find it tedious
Title Credits: LTK - you can see DN trying to set up the GCGQ code breaking feel of it's day with the dots which kicked off the gun barrel we all know so well but everything else at the start is toe curling really...
Main Villain: LTK - a real dark villain 'give her his heart...'
Main Bond Girl: DN - I really like both actually and Pam had some fire but the whole I love James bit too much really so UA as she is immense = Honey
Overall Plot: LTK - I find DN a bit lame against LTK
Dialogue: DN - 'yo Jimbo' er OK, but no LTK which does feel too American
Score: LTK
Settings: DN yes Jamaica!!!
Action: LTK but an honourable mention for the blue Sunbeam Alpine though (my father has x3 real ones!) but projector screen chase background is woeful to watch today
Humour - Honestly don't recall either having much in this department - tie
Cinematography: LTK
Benign Bizarre: LTK - Felix shark
Suspense: LTK
Minor Characters: LTK
Glamour: DN - especially in context for its day

A near even match for me then.
Also, not to go all @SirHenry in taking down the DN score a la the way he would take down the GE score (god, I miss him as much as I disagreed with him on Serra's work), but seriously? What the hell is with all the votes for Norman?
PTS: LTK (Well if DN can't bother with a PTS...)
Title Track: DN (The original Bond theme any day)
Title Credits: DN (Captured early 60s motifs rather well)
Main Villain: LTK (Both among the villianary elite and both quite intimidating, but Sanchez is far more cold and brutal)
Main Bond Girl: LTK (I could look at Ursula Andress in her prime all day, but Pam was quite the resourceful Bond girl)
Overall Plot: LTK (far more realistic)
Dialogue: DN (less cussing)
Score: DN (music was one of the weak points of LTK. DN's Caribbean flavor did enough to get the point here)
Settings: DN (Crab Key and Jamaica actually exist)
Action: LTK (DN's action was mostly hand to hand. LTK had tankers)
Humor: LTK (Dark humor is still humor. DN barely had any)
Cinematography: DN (The cinematography for DN has held up over the years)
Benign Bizarre: LTK (Blinking Fish alert!)
Suspense: LTK (You knew Bond was going to get Dr. No. We weren't sure if Bond was getting his job back in LTK)
Minor Characters: LTK (LTK had one of the best casts)
Glamour: DN (There is just something about Sylvia Trench in that red dress)
Ally: LTK (Two of the best Felix's, but David Hedison nearly gave life and limb for Bond. Oh wait, he gave his limbs for Bond.)
Closer than I thought, but LTK prevails 10-7.
Title Track: Dr. No
Title Credits: Dr. No (dated but in style)
Main Villain: Dr. No (no slight on Sanchez, but had he been as good as the doctor they would have named the film after him too right?)
Main Bond Girl: Dr. No
Overall Plot: Licence to Kill (though the actual realization of the overall plot might be less solid)
Dialogue: Licence to Kill
Score: Dr. No (I'm very fond of the music of Dr. No, and while that probably has more to do with the songs than the actual score the latter also has its hammy charms for me)
Settings: Dr. No
Action: Licence to Kill
Humor: Licence to Kill
Cinematography: Dr. No
Benign Bizarre: Dr. No
Suspense: Licence to Kill
Minor Characters: Dr. No
Glamour: Licence to Kill (none of them terribly glamorous, admittedly)
Ally: Dr. No
Dr. No: 10

Title Credits: DN (DN has a certain charm to it while LTK is just uninspired.)
Main Villain: DN (by the slimmest of margins)
