You do not need another update on the average ranking, but you deserve it.

Thanks. I like to see this stuff. Are you looking at all entries, or just the most current per poster?

All EON entries since SF was included. I keep a tab and add the latest posts from time to time. The first time I did it I spent a couple hours or more. I prefer updating it a bit frequent so as not having to do that again.

But, surely, don't you know that TLD is just such an incredible film that it DESERVES two spots?

It has risen three since my last update. It fluctuates in the lower half of the top ten here. Both Dalton films do.

Earlier i said i consider to change some of the 14-22 ranking and update my 14-17. In the rate the Various Categories Thingy!!! i already tell my new rank of Die Another Day , now i tell you how this match with the new rank of GF, MR, CR and Skyfall.

    So my new Top 23:

    01-01. GoldenEye (1995)
02-02. The World Is Not Enough (1999)
    03-03 Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
04-04. For Your Eyes Only (1981)
    05-05. A View to a Kill (1985)
    06-06. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
07-07. Live and Let Die (1973)
08-08. From Russia with Love (1963)
    09-09. The Living Daylights (1987)
    10-10. Octopussy (1983)
11-11. The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
    12-12. Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
13-13. The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

    22-21. Casino Royale (2006)
    17-22. Skyfall (2012)

    23-23. Thunderball (1965)

DAD, CR, QOS and Skyfall all have things i am not happy with. I have consider to rank CR 20-21. ''Time'' be also reasen for lower rank of QOS and Skyfall, it take me to long before things contuned. Already get bored by Skyfall after 2 views. QOS have better plot, but i not like the plot of CR and SF and not happy with how Skyfall end.

EDIT: Now after watching LALD, I've moved it up 4 spots- I enjoyed it much more this time around!

Sorry for the triple post, but I just finished my summer Bond-a-thon! Here's my current complete ranking:

    1. Casino Royale
    2. Skyfall
    3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    4. Goldfinger
    5. GoldenEye
    6. The Spy Who Loved Me
    7. Dr. No
    8. Licence to Kill
    9. For Your Eyes Only
    10. From Russia with Love
    11. Live and Let Die
    12. Thunderball
    13. Quantum of Solace
    14. The World is Not Enough
    15. The Living Daylights
    16. You Only Live Twice
    17. The Man with the Golden Gun
    18. Tomorrow Never Dies
    19. Octopussy
    20. Diamonds Are Forever
    21. Die Another Day
    22. Moonraker
    23. A View to a Kill

Some notes about my Bond-a-thon rankings:
-FYEO jumped all the way from 15 to 9! I really enjoy it a lot more than I used to; I even used to have it as low as 18 before!
-My Top 8 stayed the same, but FYEO and FRWL replaced LALD and QoS in my Top 10.
-YOLT dropped all the way from 11 to 16; I wish it was higher, but I just prefer the others. It's still a somewhat underrated Bond film, but simply suffers an unfortunate ranking (and I can't deny, it has its fair share of flaws).
-TND jumped from 21 to 18; I liked it a lot more than I remembered, and DAD took its place as my least favorite Brosnan film (as well as rounding out my bottom 3).
-TB, the first Bond film I ever watched, went from 16 to 12, getting ahead of YOLT in my Connery rankings. I decided to give it the edge due to Connery's far superior performance; otherwise I like the films about the same.
-DAF dropped from 18 to 20, simply because I just feel like TND and OP are better Bond films. Though I like some things in DAF like Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, it's simply a very flawed film, with a hard-to-follow plot, so-so Connery performance, and just a general disappointment coming off of OHMSS and the golden age IMO.
-There are several films I feel are nearly tied in quality, such as AVTAK and MR, DAF and OP (mostly for being all over the place), and the five-some of YOLT, TLD, TWINE, QOS, and TB (they all have their good stuff and flaws).
-Finally, there are no Bond films that I really "hate"; I'll watch any one of them and enjoy at least a couple aspects of the film. This marathon rocked, and I'm excited for Bond 24.

Nice list! Obviously we have some disagreements but I've been trying to hold off on watching them until I lead up to Bond 24's release but I don't think I'll be able to. Another Bondathon may be necessary here before too long.

Thank you! #12 through 16 are all very close, but I think this is probably the best list I've ever come up with for myself (at least at this point in time).

Yeah, I slowly feel like I'm solidifying mine. My most recent list is the FIRST one I've ever had where I've felt (somewhat) confident in it. There's a few that are pretty arbitrary but ehh, i did my best.

  • My Ranking of all 23 Bond Movies

    1. Moonraker-no, that is not a typo lol.
    2. For Your Eyes Only-1st Bond movie seen in the theatre.
    3. Thunderball-Craig's next one should be on this scope.
    4. On Her Majesty's Secret Service-Earworm score, tragic ending, best Blofeld.
    5. Goldeneye-Tina outdoes Bassey, Brosnan looks hella young.
    6. From Russia With Love-Orient Express fight, nuff said.
    7. The Spy Who Loved Me-Moore hits his stride here.
    8. Skyfall-A tad overrated, but very solid.
    9. Quantum of Solace-A lot underrated, liked rawness of it.
    10. Casino Royale (06)-Loved new enemy, or re-intro of old one?
    11. The World is Not Enough-One of the best PTS.
    12. Tomorrow Never Dies-Horrible theme but like OTT villain.
    13. Octopussy-Not great but it does have a fun factor to it.
    14. Diamonds are Forever-Love Wint & Kidd, theme song.
    15. A View to a Kill-Theme Song & Walken.
    16. Goldfinger-Highly overrated.
    17. Dr. No-Did what it needed to do.
    18. You Only Live Twice-Connery sleepwalking.
    19. Live & Let Die-DAF should have been Moore's 1st.
    20. The Man With the Golden Gun-Moore looks young lol.
    21. License to Kill-At least it reminded me of Crockett & Tubbs.
    22. The Living Daylights-Just did not feel Dalton.
    23. Die Another Day-I can watch it, but sometimes it makes me want to die-Today.

As a novice to this site, let me know what u think, I can debate Moonraker forever, forever, forevvver lol.

    22. The Man With The Golden Gun
    23. Die Another Day

mine has a tendency to change a little here and there.... not so much my top 5, but the others shift around a bit... and i often times hate doing these lists, because then it's like your cementing yourself to feeling a certain way about the films - in reality i like them all.... well...... the majority of them i like lol... but even the Bond films I am not too terribly fond of - I would rather watch them then half the crap that comes out in theaters nowadays........ nothing like a nice quiet night in and popping in a Bond movie on my home theater system :)

    24 --> 2.8/10 --> 'Die Another Day'
    25 --> 1.0/10 --> 'Casino Royale' (non-EON)

  • Using @00beast 's template, i've listed but in no particular order. Most of the lower ones i'm due to watch soon as I haven't seen them for a long time so that would be interesting if they change but I saw LALD recently and thats gone down a bit for me- the sound quality of the blu-ray didn't help either.

Always Enjoy, 100% of the time

    Dr No
    From Russia With Love
    Goldfinger
    Casino Royale
    Skyfall

Usually Enjoy, with some instances of disinterest here and there

    Thunderball
    On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
    The Spy Who Loved Me
    The Living Daylights
    GoldenEye

    Half-and-Half; sometimes enjoyable, sometimes boring

    You Only Live Twice
    Live And Let Die
    Moonraker
    For Your Eyes Only
    Octopussy
    Licence To Kill
    Tomorrow Never Dies

Barely Make it Through (I always make it through- just frustrating films that should have been better!)

    Diamonds Are Forever
The Man With The Golden Gun
    A View To A Kill
    The World Is Not Enough
    Die Another Day
    Quantum Of Solace

Having been away at college for a little while, my activity here on the forum has, obviously, decreased to basically nothing, unfortunately- however, I am certainly ready to be back amongst the Bond fanbase here at MI6 and start grooving again with all things 007! Upon arriving back here at the forum, I thought to myself, I wonder if my rankings might be more concrete since I've been away for a little bit- I've decided to rank the Bond movies yet again, except this time it's not based on any thoughts or marathon results. I'm simply going based off of my usual preferences when I watch the Bond movies, so here goes what might possibly be my most laid back, natural ranking of the 23 movies!
