Have we discussed this casting call yet? UniversalExtras is based out of Pinewood and the call is for a John Logan film.

The only John Logan script in production is Bond 24.

Already discussed. It's his film 'Genius'.

It's been discussed. It's not for Bond.

Liverpool, I'd love to, been living there a year (and this is where I first watched CR) but I wonder why they would choose it. It was mentioned as the city where Hugo Drax (the real one, not the cypher) was from in MR, don't think if it could mean anything, but there you go.

Thanks, guys. Came upon it on the Reddit James Bond page. This thread is a little hard to keep up with a short few months from production!

Just think, we still have a few more locations and actors to hear about before December, not to mention crew and likely more photos of the Austria set. Also a 'brand new' Aston Martin in there somewhere before filming.

Yes, I know, but even though we are getting closer, facts are still a rarity, so rumours have to do,.
  • It's not impossible, but I think quite unlikely. Biggest role I could imagine would be a mysterious, somewhat exotic Caribbean woman smoking at a Casino table. Something like that.

In all honesty? Rihanna? Nah, let's not do it :-). Now this I call quite the rumour. There's no news about Rihanna being spotted with the producers. "A source told...", well damit tabloid-paper, GIVE us that source then :-). Stuff like this will never published on the MI6-HQ-frontpage.

On the other hand, what we've read from Austrian newspaper "Die Kleine Zeitung" has at least some sources to trace back, thus making it way more factual news.

Can we PLEASE NOT repost half a page of pics just to add a few thoughts.

RC7, we have been there before and its still not right to not respect people doing the"what if" game on a fan board. This is not the white house doing high politics. Let thosr, who like to let their fantasy go a bit, be and like he said, ignore his/their posts instead of lecturing us on and on. Its nice, you are such an only facts man, but not all are and its a lot of fun to play the guessing game. Dont be such a party pooper.

Well said, @GermanLady. Some of us want to speculate and have fun and share our thoughts and wishes, even if we don't have hard facts yet. So a little imagination and wondering on the page what if this were used ... etc. is fine. There is no one type of Bond fan here; we are a big mixed family. :)

I love the photos, by the way. I'm psyched about the snowy scenes to be, however extensive. I do feel it will be not be a just quick stop for Bond there, which would make me happy indeed.

As for Rihanna, the article says a "cameo" role, something very brief. I could see that happening; but I won't want her in the film any further than that.

In the set build photos (Austria) it looks like there are residential buildings in relatively close proximity. Can anyone confirm that?

It seems like that yes. If that's the case, then the location could also be used to re-create a big accident...

Just wondering about the plane crash scenario. I'm hoping if that is the case they don't use too much CGI. I was thinking about the possibility of them building a rig to simulate the impact but wondered if that was achievable on site.
  • I would imagine they might use miniatures if it was deemed to be too dangerous.

I kind of don't want to know any more details about a plane crash ... I'm going to have to be more wary on various threads. I remember thinking that the first show of Lost (U.S. tv) did a great job showing a plane in trouble and crashing. For Bond 24, I am sure it would be very exciting and realistic looking. But I don't want to know more than it being a possibility. I don't want to know about it in details (esp. the story).

Maybe I need to stop reading certain threads ... but Bond 24 is such a long ways off still! :( OK, I'll have to figure out my own best system of read/skim read/glance/not read at all, etc.

Not only film-wise, the "Kleine Zeitung" (funny name BTW) are well informed. As many VIP tourists take their skiing holidays, their reporters know, who to ask and what...

Possibly, although I'd imagine full-scale rig and CGI would be more likely. The photo looks to me like they may be constructing one or more residential buildings to fit into the landscape, rather than anything more substantial.

Not sure, but someone from our own Q branch should be able to look up registered domain names and possibly crack the Bond 24 title as was done with Skyfall.
    Anyone...

I'm not from Q branch, but Google search provided this:
    Domain Name: SKYFALL-MOVIE.COM
    Registrar: MARKMONITOR INC.
    Whois Server: whois.markmonitor.com MORE INFO...
    Updated Date: 19-jul-2014
    Creation Date: 19-aug-2011
    Expiration Date: 19-aug-2015

It was registered in August 2011, but I think it leaked a few months later. The new domain is probably registered by now.

Just a quick recap of the busy two months we've been having :) Rumors of Strong's involvement with the production are unsubstantiated, and he is currently part of a film shoot in Northern Africa.
Cape Town is in South Africa ;-)

I wouldn't rule the title "Risico" out, while at the same time I wouldn't take it as certain.
