Out of interest, how many users are in this thread, but not the leaks thread? Just curious as it seems pretty active. I'm considering taking some time out if the majority of members are au fait with plot details etc, as it seems pretty pointless. If there are a few of us still waiting on official info, rumours and tidbits then I'll probably stick around for discussion.

I'm not making the same mistake as I did with Skyfall where I knew almost everything about the film before it's release.
I am very cautious when I'm on this site (and other) to not get anything spoiled. I'm thinking of taking a leave of absence later in the spring when things are really gearing up!

Then don't look in the 'Leaks'-thread: It would spoil everything for you. I look forward to the first still. I think the february issue of Empire will include a exclusive photo.

Well of course I won't. But I remember how it was around the production of Skyfall when people posted spoilers without spoiler-tags in every possible thread despite numerous warnings from the mods. So it is better to be cautious.

I believe you can read the issue here...

    http://www.empireonline.com/features/2015-movie-preview/

Nothing new to read though, unfortunately.

Come onnn, doesn't it make you proud and utterly happy that "SPECTRE" is clearly mentioned as a "One Billion Dollar Contender" together with "Star Wars 7" and "Avengers 2" ;-)?

I'm already preparing like a geek for the 24th "Bond Year". Because 2015 is the 24th "Bond Year" guys. I just visited the "Designing 007: 52 Years Og Bond Style" exhibition in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I have been buying Ebay empty lately. I am re-reading "The Blofeld Trilogy" ("Thunderball", "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", "You Only Live Twice") + "The Spy Who Loved Me": Fleming's work that featured S.P.E.C.T.R.E and Blofeld.

And later I'm gonna rewatch the following Bond films in this order, to stay faithful to story continuity and to become completely "SPECTRE-crazy":
1st Bond era / Old Timeline:
    01) "Doctor No" (No# 1 of S.P.E.C.T.R.E., Dr. No, is "toppling" US missiles)
    02) "From Russia With Love" (a S.P.E.C.T.R.E-revenge plan for the killing of Dr. No)
    03) "Thunderball" (S.P.E.C.T.R.E. and Blofeld are holding the world for ransom)
    04) "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (I found YOLT too cheesy for a Blofeld reveal)
    05) "For Your Eyes Only" (Finally 007 'dumps' Blofeld, the man who killed Tracy)
2nd Bond era / New Timeline:
    01) "Casino Royale" (Bond deals with Le Chiffre, who works for a sinister organization)
    02) "Quantum Of Solace" (The sinister organization is QUANTUM)
    03) "Skyfall" (A shady man from Bond's and M's past is out for "cyber revenge")

06.11.2015: "SPECTRE" (CR, QOS and SF are all connected in the 24th Bond film)

Thanks for the link @jake24 ;-)

I cautiously look here at times still (obviously). :) I like seeing photos, too.
I have not read, and will not read, the thread that is allowed to have the leaked info.

I had a great time leading up to Skyfall here and nothing major was spoiled for me. SPECTRE is such a long ways off and it makes me sad to leave the forum earlier than I normally would. I might have to. But I'm doing my best to stay spoiler free and continue here. I only go into a few threads. But, for example, there was a spoiler (thank goodness not major, for me anyway) on the literary 007 thread that had a discussion going about the Bond book. Solo. Yes, it had a spoiler tag but I clicked on it thinking it was a spoiler for Solo. No, it was about SPECTRE, the film underway. It was shortly corrected to say spoiler regarding SPECTRE ... but as everyone is keenly aware, you cannot take back something you have read. There will be errors like that from time to time.

I'll try my best to stay, but I have to have constant vigilance.

I stated a while ago that I was going to leave this thread because leaks were seeping in. Luckily, nothing has really been spoiled, but like others I like to stay cautious and anticipate with fascination the "official" info that comes out.

Seconded! I don't want my big movie event of the year ruined! Official stuff released by Eon is fine with me. That is all though!

Does anybody know, how they do the promo, RedCarpets, when they have a global opening?

Spectre will have it's royal premiere in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and 89-year old Queen Lizzie 2nd will be wheeled in by the best and brightest of Great Britain, the members of One Direction. Sam Mendes won't attend the event, as he will be held hostage at Pinewood Studios™ and will be busy working on Bond 25©.

@panchito, try again. The question was, what sort of promo, apart from TV and the London premiere are they going to do? or still easier, are there going to be other premieres as usual or just the one?

Usually, the world premier is held in London (either at Odeon Leicester Square or the Royal Albert Hall), and there are smaller premiers in other countries. However, I'm not sure if that will be the case for SPECTRE, as it will have a global release date, so there might just be the one royal premier in London.

could it be that Sam agreed to do a two parter and that way the reason EON waited an extra year for him to come back? i hope so!

Sam Mendes said in an interview that the original plan was to do a two parter, but the plan was dropped in favor of Mendes' return.

No two parter please. Just two great Bond films coming up I hope.
You don't need a two parter for Bond 25 to follow Spectre.
  • The question is will Dame Judi be at the premiere? Her character was killed off in Skyfall

I'm almost certain they will at least invite her.

Just a reminder, all information obtained from the Sony leaks must stay on the dedicated thread, even if spoiler tags are used.

  • This is getting too much now.

NO Sony leaks information in this thread.

I'm fearful to press those spoiler tags as I know some morons are not adhering to the rules here.

Already from people's carelessness when talking about Spectre I've been able to get indications of how the film ends. This really isn't on.

Mi6 really needs to consider changing it's policy regarding these leaks. Lock the Sony Leaks thread and ban any conversation I say, the thread is only encouraging people to read the hacked materials and fuel the conversation amongst threads.

You shouldn't use language like that. And yes... info obtained from the leaks should go in the only thread available for this. But locking that thread, which is becoming increasingly popular? No way!

If the spoilers above are related to the leaked emails, they need to be deleted asap from this thread. The posters can put that info in the one (and only one allowed) designated thread.
I love coming on this forum but if other members start leaking stuff on other threads for the sake of ruining it for others? I will no longer visit the site! And for me that is a serious shame as i visit here pretty much everyday. I simply do not reveal any spoiler posts for this reason.
  • Tough to believe that SPECTRE is coming out this year. Still feels like Skyfall was just released.

Lock the Sony Leaks thread and ban any conversation I say,

The day they do that will be the day dozens of people will start talking about the leaks here and in every other Spectre related thread. The moderators locking the Leaks thread would be just them burying their head in the sand.
  • Lock the Sony Leaks thread and ban any conversation I say,

I think it's for the best.

I understand people want to talk about the leaks but the fact is people clearly find it very difficult to go to those threads and keep the information to themselves. Too often we are finding ourselves in situations where people in the loop are nonchalantly revealing information.

I propose Mi6 lock the SonyLeaks thread and ban any discussion of the topics found in the Sony hack. Anyone actively speaking of the leaks and defying the ban should be disciplined and if necessary removed from the forum. More worryingly people are soliciting the material over the Mi6 private messaging service.

Sadly I feel like we have reached this point. Numerous members are disgruntled and upset with the way Mi6 have handled things here, myself included.

I shouldn't feel like I need to leave these forums because people are actively trying to spoil the film for me. It should be those who are sharing and talking about the hacked information who should be forced to leave. In my opinion, Mi6's current conduct is facilitating and encouraging criminal activity.

Mi6 is a James Bond forum not BitTorrent.
