I was thinking of the floating jellyfish scene for "Why do I feel like a fish out of water?" but your interpretation works too. And I was hoping the "mum" in "Mum's the word" would also help folks think of Patrice's employer.

EDIT: I also love the fight in Shanghai where they're both shadows and it's hard to identify who's who, as if the film is saying "One of these guys is an assassin working for a shadowy organization, and the other just shot an art connoisseur in an adjacent skyscraper!"
