Newbie to the forum and to the series really. I've been working my way through the films (for the first time) starting with Dr No in January. I've recently just reached the end of Moore's era (phew!) :)
I'm Lewis, 21, and in the UK. Very excited for Spectre!

I'm fairly new here as well and never signed this thread. Some of the discussions do indeed stir up some controversy, but the community really is fantastic and a lot of fun!

You may not necessarily find that opinion so "odd" around here :) I certainly prefer OHMSS to a huge amount of Moore's outings.

It all started when my family moved to East Africa for a time in the 80s and as a young man I got to see everything starting with Dr. No on the big screen during a re-release marathon (leading up to Octopussy if I recall correctly).
I'm thinking of dabbling into vintage Bond poster collecting, but nothing expensive (say, under $100 pieces).
I moonlight as a technical consultant in the CE/Home Theater space and have dubbed my personal theater "The 007 Theater".

-I've been a Bond fan since I was a child. I had a sick day from elementary school as a young boy and my mom went to the video store and came back with Octopussy. The rest is history.
-Most of my interest comes from the films but I've read all the Fleming novels and some, but not all, of the continuation novels.
-I've read MI6-HQ.com for a few years already but never took the plunge to engage with the message board members. Here I am!

My name is Angela. I just registered and looking forward to reading all the discussions about Bond. I've loved Bond since I was a teen and my first Bond movie in theater was Goldeneye. I have seen every Bond movie in theater since then.
I recently got a Bond tattoo on my shoulder last summer, which is my profile pic. I always thought of myself as a Bond girl and wondered where do all the recovering Bond girls go?

Earliest Bond memory: Seeing a poster for TMWTGG in the foyer of my local ABC Cinema on a school holiday trip (probably to watch Escape From Witch Mountain). Remember thinking it looked jolly exciting but I wouldn't be allowed to see it as it looked a bit too racy. Probably just as well on reflection: I think my young impressionable mind would've been 'over-excited' shall we say by the sight of Mary Goodnight in a bikini.
First Bond movie seen Pretty sure it was DN when it was first broadcast on UK TV in 1975. I remember being thrilled by it, although slightly disappointed that the Crab Key 'dragon' turned out to be an old lorry with a flame-thrower. I'm murkier on my first Bond seen at the cinema, pretty sure it was TSWLM. There was also a viewing of NSNA at a holiday camp cinema one sunny afternoon but I promised not to speak of it again.
Book Bond My first foray into Fleming was via my local library and their collection of hardbacks with the wonderful Chopping slipcases, which, to my eternal annoyance I always returned. My first purchase (with book token obviously) was a collection including LALD, DAF, GF and DN in a lovely silver case. I've not read all of the others but am slowly putting that right by working my way through the Vertigo Press box set I was given as a gift (just finished TSWLM which was, er, challenging). I start reading the Gardner's when they came out but stopped after the one when he goes up a mountain.
I'm excited to be hear and to be honest, I am relatively a new Bond fan within the last few of years. I am the editor of a style and entertainment magazine and I'm always consumed with stylish onscreen characters, and that's how I took notice of James Bond. What other character in film history has such impeccable and iconic style.
