Daniel Kleinman . the heir apparent

Martin Campbell does a fabulous job, but the action scenes needed trimming down.

Martin Campbell doesn't make that much of a splash for me though, sorry.
I agree. Campbell did a much better job later on CR IMHO but he had a better script based on an actual Ian Fleming novel there and a stronger lead actor to deal with.
Daniel Kleinman . the heir apparent
I liked his work as well. I thought his opening title sequence with the Bond girls smashing the Soviet Communist statues and icons was the best one since the hourglass/scenes from previous Bond films motifs of OHMSS.

    GoldenEye • Michael France

For a story that acknowledges the post-Cold War world but for the most part, is really just back to basics. Some people say that after a six year drought, any Bond film would've been huge, but I think GoldenEye—while a good (as opposed to a great) Bond film—was the perfect film for its time. Elements other than the script reflect this of course (Brosnan, in particular, tends to retread Bonds past rather than build his own), but I think France's work epitomizes the balance this film struck.

I think I'd pick David Arnold. He's at his best in this film, that doesn't give us a lot of choice, all thanks to Surrender.
  • not much to pick from in this 1997 release, but plaudits go to Sheryl Crow, the pre credits sequence and Yes, Dench in one of her more memorable performances

I thought Michelle Yeoh is worth a mention too, a Bond girl who can actually handle herself and none of the all beauty and not much else we saw before from previous entries

The stunt team for the parking lot car chase. This is an average Bond film, and that scene is the only scene above average.

Paris Carver for finally dying. No. In all seriousness, Q stole the show for being Q and not disappointing me while everyone around him lost all the knack they had in GE, if there was much to begin with.
  • Again, no one in this film. With all the story changes and antics off the set, this is as messy and as disrupte

    DN - Maurice Binder
    FRWL - Daniela BIanchi

    <b>TND: Teri Hatcher</b>

For the novelty appeal of being the only woman that Superman and James Bond share in common(unless that story about Valerie Perrine/"Miss Teschmacher!!!!" being Shady Tree's blond acorn in DAF is true).

Honorable mention to David Arnold for his first and best Bond score.

TND: My goodness this is tough. Going to have to go with Desmond Llewelyn, still giving the role his all at age 83.

Here's my vote to Desmond. His departure from the role coincided with his passing away. It was almost poetic. I pay deference to a man so lovable, whose memory we shall treasure for eternity.

To the late Mr. Llewelyn for his touching final scene in his most famous role.
  • without sounding repetitive, Desmond Llewelyn in his last appearance :(

Brosnan himself, in what I think was his best of the four he did

Pre credits sequence, in what could be the best ever

I'm going to include Judi Dench too, I remember she featured quite a bit and was quite impressive
