    @Birdleson - TLD last? Interesting. That's usually considered one of the better scenes of the movie, is it not?

    I think that's where the film strays into Moore territory.

    1. OHMSS 1 - Unsurpassable.

    2. OHMSS 2 - See above.

    3. TSWLM - Love Bond 77 kicking in as he goes down that 45 degree slope, the ski pole gun is nice and the finale is probably the best single moment in the series.

    4 FYEO - Inventive from Willy Bogner.

    5. TLD - The laser is wank but the after that tremendous fun including the inventive cello escape.

    6. AVTAK - Hated because of California Girls but apart from this aberration there's some excellent stuntwork and great music from Barry.

    7. SP - Extremely disappointing but the shot as the plane comes alongside the car in the valley is pretty good.

    TWINE - An excercise in dullness.

    1. OHMSS ( Thrilling and backed by Barry at his best what more can I say)

    2. OHMSS 2 (See above)

    3. SWLM (mainy for the iconic jump like Birdleson)

    4. FYEO ( If it wasn't for the above FYEO would have the edge as it's faster paced and far more varied, although I'm not a fan of Conti's cue)

    5. TLD ( I've always liked it, a little too jokey for Dalton's Bond but an entertaining sequence, not sure about the cello though)

    6. AVTAK (loses point for that totally unnecessary Californian Girls on the soundtrack, fancy dropping Barry's terrific cue for that, typical spoff rubbish of the latter RM era)

    7. SP (Only because I find TWINE's so pedestrian and awful, though SPECTRE isn't much better. They were considering a ski bike chase which would have been much better than that plane chase, makes the dog fight in QOS seem quite good)

    8. TWINE. (Utterly dire and boring beyond belief)

    I love the funky music during the ski chases in and TSWLM and FYEO. To me the music in the latter sounds like a cheesy 80s anthem for the Olympics used by the BBC. Still enjoy it though.

    Love the ski chase music from FYEO, that's what I have playing on my ipod whilst skiing down Goats Eye mountain in Banff, Canada. One day a long time from now I may grow up !!!!

    When I ski it's always OHMSS I listen to. Really need to go from the top of Piz Gloria black run with the OHMSS theme on full blast before I get too old.

    Yes, I think that should be on everyone's bucket list. Although I do prefer the propellerheads version for skiing.

    I had lunch in the Ice Q restaurant in Soelden then went from the top but it's not quite the same.

    Strange that they didn't care that we have had hundreds of train fights but seemed so desperate to of not do another ski chase. Wouldn't have mattered if what they had come up with had been better but given what we got I'd have much preferred Bond to nick a pair of skis rather than a plane.

    Could have had him jumping over the cars, jumping onto the cars and skiing over the roofs, jumping the chalets like in OHMSS (another homage for Mendes to crowbar in), hanging onto the back of the cars like Marty Mcfly. Loads of stuff they could have done instead of the dull and, let's be honest, stupid (who of sound mind would think 'The best way to sort this is to smash the wings off my plane and hope it all works out ok rather than just follow them'?) chase we got.

    1. Bond escapes from Piz Gloria (On Her Majesty's Secret Service)
    1. Bond and Tracy on the run (On Her Majesty's Secret Service)

    Quintessential ski chase, everything is right about it. The visuals, direction, music, one ski stunt. Only downside is the sound editing (eg "Simple")

    2. Bond pulls out (The Spy Who Loved Me)

    Nothing to say about this, a classic.

    3. Bond vs the KGB (The Living Daylights)

    Very fun chase from beginning to end (car and cello). Doesn't fit Daltona and the tone of the film but so what.

    4. Escaping from Kriegler (For Your Eyes Only)

    Doesn't stand out apart from the bobsled bit. Score is a downer

    Bottom 4

    5. Snowboarding in Siberia (A View To A Kill)

    The score keeps it ahead of the last two

    6. The standard ski chase is not enough (The World Is Not Enough)

    Not very memorable at all

    7. Planing through the snow (Spectre)

    Very boring like the other action scenes in Spectre
