I mean that I assume you are joking with your comments. The idea that Brosnan in Twine is giving an emotionally rich portrayal is ridiculous. And that it foreshadows Craig's performance - surely you are kidding?!
And Twine is the best 007 performance? Ever?
Craig's films:
When judging style, class, elegance and simplicity.......the posters from the Craig era easily win from that godawfull "Ice Age" rip-off. Even the women in the Craig-era were finally........not just strong women, but also women who weren't afraid to show off their femininity. And look at Craig's fashion choice.
People saw her as Halle Berry not Jinx...unlike the Craig Bond girls Vesper,Camile,Moneypenny,Madeline etc...people see them as the character not the actress.
A lesson well learned I suppose.
SF is the weakest poster out of the four IMO....
Brosnan era was really chasing the American market with Hatcher, Richards and Berry. Quite against the run of form for the Bond series.
True....that bloody 'zipper' comment by 'R' in TWINE really annoyed me,and still does.
It is...but not for the right reasons haha !!
There was a surfing scene earlier in the film?
Oh yeah, apparently there's something good in DAD! I'd forgotten in all the rubbish in it.
That's the problem, the crap overcomes the cream alas ,he he.
In terms of performances, you just can't beat early Connery.
In all fairness the DAD teaser poster is veritably Choppingesque.
Was all downhill after that.
It has color and goes with the story of the film.
Just look at the pure colour of these posters. They actually speak to the imagination and sense of fantasy that so well encapsulated the 60s and 70s. We need more of THIS!
Yes.
The Brosnan posters are all very tacky in a very 90s kind of way, though. It's a shame that they can't find some kind of happy medium between those and the more dull style of the Craig films. Or, even better, have the courage to go back to a style more similar to the posters we had during the Connery and early Moore eras.
One could also add the FYEO and TLD posters to the real great ones.
