A bit curious about Pelham, really - with Red Grant himself, Robert Shaw being one of the cast. Never seen the 2009 remake, either.
Great list. Forgot about Charley Varrick which I have. Directed by the brilliant Don Siegal.
I agree. It's odd. But I love James Caan! He's always good value.
A bit like TMWTGG? :D
Really liked The Getaway, so The killer Elite is naturally a film that (on paper) sounds interesting, given that it's the same director.
One of the reasons it caught my interest!
Well, that's a stone cold CLASSIC.
I saw it in the theatre at a classic films revival at 16. It blew me away. I was too young for it when it came out. I own it on Blu Ray, and last time I watched it it was like the first time. It's an art house Sci-fi that also pleased crowds with the sport/violence angle.
You had me at Adams - will have to check it out! Interestingly Rollerball is available on iTunes, just like The Killer Elite. Might buy both, and watch them as a double feature.
