EON current management and directions also not in favor for pretty boy actors like Cavill.
Cavill would have been a great rookie as Fleming's Bond was in his mid 20's when he got his 00 status. He would be even more perfect now as he is a grown up just in case anyone had not noticed!

Oh soooooooooo BOND HERE.
Alas by the time the role is available again, the eminently qualified Cavill will be too old.
It's Craig's job for now and he's welcome to it until until he turns 53, which I'm suggesting as mandatory screen Bond retirement age, ie early 50's or thereabouts.
New Bonds though should be hired no older than 32. No exceptions at all. A mature 28 would be ideal hiring age in order to max out number of films in actor's prime Bond years.
i doubt that, Cavill acting skill in THe cold light of day made bold statement that EON made a good decision by casting Craig back then in 2005. I can't imagine Cavill would be fit CR except if the script tailored made to fit Cavill's charm. His acting only slightly better than Brosnan. after saw his performance in THe cold light of day, the way he react or counter-react in any scenes I don't think Cavill can manage a good solid script like Craig did in Casino Royale.
