Looking to me like things are rolling along smoothly. Made my day to see the title of this thread changed to "Production Begins in Norway".

Production begins. Really great to read that! Exciting times ahead.

Glad to hear that Norway is being filmed now. :)

And back out I go ...

Actually, I went to the very first page of this thread a week or so ago, just to see a recap of confirmed news ... and on THAT page were spoilers I didn't need to see. :( I don't want to be told what type of scene specifically is being filmed where. Just saying filming has begun in Noway or basic info only like that, please. Geez. Now I cannot even check that page for news.

Did filming begin or is it set to begin very soon?

If so, do we have any set photos?

No Set photos as of yet. Filming begins Monday in Norway, for some filming before the frozen lake melts. 5th April is when things bring to heat up with filming. A press conference should happen within a week or two we hope.
  • It's set to begin tomorrow I believe, there is a stuntman on location now in Norway with filming then.

Good news. Let's hope it begins as soon as possible so all the doubts in the world are finally put to rest.

Malek is pretty young to be the main villain. I wonder if his character is a young mi6 agent turned Villian or the protege bond mentors and he turns bad. Their gonna play the age gap between him and Craig. Just a thought

Would you all be happy if BOND 25 is called this ? It's simple, yet effective and very fleming. Could this really be the title ?

So excited that things are finally heating up!

When should we expect to know the film's composer? What do you think?
Eon will almost certainly let Fulunaga pick a composer.

Arnold was always their hire. Someone they forced on directors.

With Mendes, they wanted to give him as much control as possible and part of that was ceded to his choice of composer.

After the Boyle debacle, they’ll want Fukunaga to think Bond 25 is “his film”. (After all, considering their circumstances it’s a shock they could hired him and they known that they were very very very lucky)

Cary will either use Dan Romer (his usual composer) or go A-list.

I think either of these wo names will get the job:

    1. Justin Hurwitz
    2. Nicholas Brittell
About your two "A-listers": Are you basing those names on some kind of information or rumor? Or just wishful thinking?

Dan Romer would be a new voice - and could actually do a splendid job, from what I've listened to (Maniac & Beasts of no Nation OST):

He's versatile and really good at creating tension, creating a soundtrack that adds gravitas to the story.

Hurwitz as well, but Brittell would be even better. He's very well suited for Bond, I believe:

I must say these days I'm abhorring one word titles. So much. Really. Almost as much as continuity between Bond films. Actually, continuity irks me more.

The only way to move forward with vespers story is if spectre agents revived her after the supposed drowning. Could be plausible

I agree that both have become tiresome, but the title is ultimately superficial. The latter is the far bigger problem.

The latter is a really big problem that, if not stopped at some point, will damage a genre of filmmaking that was particular to Bond. Continuity must be, at least, contained in an actor's era.

About the title, as a writer, I don't feel its superficial. It's a mark of creativity that usually tells a lot about the rest of the script/written piece. A bland title is a bad omen because it's part of, and many times the beginning, of the creative process.

Unless Malek, if cast, could be related to vesper of a previous boyfriend. ?

I do like the post I made though. :)

I think the Casino Royale connection is just meant in the sense of his arc rather than actually picking up elements of the plot. This is where he started, this is where he'll end. It'll probably have more to do with his time as a 00 seeing as he left at the end of Spectre.

I always said having Vesper come back for Craig’s final Bond film as the villain would be emotionally impressive. Not quite sure how they’d ever pull that off, but it would be pretty epic.

They'd never do it, it would completely undermine Fleming's initial creation.

This isn't saying much, but Rami Malek is only 2cm taller than stuntman Sebastien Soudais, so perhaps he could indeed be doubling for him in Norway, as others here have suggested.

I presume it's 2nd unit shooting and no main cast?

If so, I’m really not sure how this will fit in to the rumoured scene.
Why would Malek’s character be after a child? And please don’t say it’s cause it’s Bond’s child because that won’t make any sense.

After Spectre, Fleming's original creations aren't sacred anymore to be fair.

    Two theories...

    1) Malek is an all new original villain. Blofeld escapes Bond kills him in the Pre-Titles.

    2) Malek is just a pawn. Blofeld makes a surprise cameo in the end (character in disguise) kills Malek and attempts to launch some end of the world type plot which Bond has to stop.

Why would they be “continuing the story arc from Casino Royale”??

Doesn’t make sense because Spectre was behind everything from films 1-3.

So obviously Blofeld HAS to be in the film or mentioned at the very least.

Spectre has to be involved.. I think Malek is playing a billionaire/tech tycoon type character. Very Elon Musk like. He’s not a big guy, he’s only 5’9.

    Maybe weighs 140-150 pounds..

Although if you look at Greene from QOS he was 5’6 and weighed even less.

He still put up a good fight with the axe.

The Arnold Era has ended a decade ago, it’s time for Arnold fans to move on. He won’t be back.

One day, he will be. He is the great David Arnold.
Yes the “great” David Arnold who hasn’t scored a movie in god knows how many years because nobody wants to work with him...

That's a ludicrous comment. Arnold is very much respected in the movie/music industry. That's a fact!

Danny Boyle’s Bond film already had a cast...

He cast some unknown actors to play Russian villains and the plot was about hacking an election and Bond dying..

Basically a we hate Donald trump film.

That’s the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Being an American and hearing about Russia 365 days a year for two years straight is annoying and to think they’d make a Bond movie out of it???

Thank god they got rid of him.

Danny Boyle is a B movie director at best. The director we have now is a Netflix guy also.

We heard rumors of Spielberg directing WTF happened???

Daniel Craig who has made them over a billion dollars is doing a final Bond film and we will likely not get another one for 5+ years after next year and they have ZERO marketing for this film no “Daniel Craig’s last outing!”

All they can talk about is “Will Bond be black or a woman next??”

The world has gone to shit guys.

They should’ve gotten a WAY better Director this whole project is way over his head.

That’s like taking a manager at Walmart and making him the CEO, how do you think that would work out?

I am actually really disappointed in EON! Daniel looks bored in the past two films and I can see why.

This isn’t an episode of MI5 this is James Bond.....

    Chicken Little is that you?
