  • I always perceived the latest M:I films as pretty well made exercises made in order to display Cruise’s third youth. They were. Nice action but besides the big set pieces nothing to remember. DR1 is different tho. It’s a M:I film where the action …

  • So it looks like it will collect $250/270M til Sunday. Besting Fallout and crossing $800M globally sounds quite likely with such an opening.
  • We all know what that means.
  • Yeah it sounds like it’s gonna be the most “bondian” entry of the franchise. I read it is completely “woke free” as well. Another big plus.
  • If you look at the score is lower than Fallout to be fair. And on Metacritic too has 81/100 while Fallout had 86/100.
  • On a side note the cinematography looks a step back compared to the previous one. Coincidentally that’s the first M:I film entirely shot on digital.

  • This is the first M:I film shot entirely in digital and I’m not a big fan of the overall result. Honestly the look of Fallout is still unmatched. Can’t wait to see the Venice and Rome sequences. Arguably the two most beautiful cities within the sa…

  • Peter Bradshaw from The Guardian gave it 5 stars. He gave 3 to Fallout and 5 to both NTTD and Spectre. Anyway extremely good reception, it will fall inbetween Fallout and Rogue Nation.

  • The biggest sin of KotCS was casting Shia. He didn’t had any impact back then and a couple of Transformers movies after that he started a path that led to destroying his career, forcing Lucasfilm to keep his character away from the last chapter. A…
  • M:I films are very good action flicks and especially after Maverick Cruise is more appreciated than ever… M:I-7 is gonna be fine and those films will go on until Cruise will be able to personally perform his crazy stunts, that are essentially the si…

  • It is with immense sadness… but Dial is a failure. It is not a bad movie generally speaking, but it doesn’t feel like a true Indy film. It has the ingredients but lacks the DNA that Spielberg injected in it with his ability to fill almost every ima…

  • $2.024B. First director with three $2B+ films (even in a row). Looking to land a $2.3-2.4B final.
  • $2B in 7 days.
  • Jimbo did it again. The Way of Water is projected to make at least $2.2 billion worldwide, with less than half China, no Russia and a terrible ER for a movie so strong outside the US (70% of its revenue is overseas). Today will cross $1.5 billion …
  • I’d be on board with ATJ.
