  • @JWESTBROOK We need that second chapter! Hope it's going well :)
  • A shame about Cruz, but I'm not at all surprised. As for Winslet, I'm not sure she or Belucci would be able to convincing play Bond's love interest in B24. Bond has always gone for younger women, and that's not going to change.
  • That's obviously billacks. Sounds like DC having a joke about musicians being Bond girls. Personally, after Madonna, I would stay well clear of that area!
  • Well, although I think that Penelope Cruz is highly unlikely to be a Bond girl, it is nonetheless harmless to speculate. An absolutely gorgeous and talented actor, she would surely make a great counterpart to DC's Bond.
  • I'm not against Stephen Fry showing up in a Bond film, but I do think it'd have to be a Branson-esque cameo, or similar to Judi Dench's appearance in the Pirates of the Caribbean...
  • I must say that I'm warming to the idea. I don't know if its just because I'm getting impatient with the lack of director or not, but Nolan would certainly seem to be a good choice. Whatever the choice, I think Deakins' cinematography will do B24…
  • Yes - I do always remember the caveats surrounding "We understand that...", or "One source told us...". And we know how coy EON are about giving out any significant information!
  • I'm worried about the "very basic outline" of Bond 24, I was under the impression we were on our way to a draft script? How else are directors supposed to decide if they want to be involved?

  • RIGHT, everybody! Camille, wasn't it? I'v never been in favour of the character returning. Nevertheless, the past few years have been very kind to Olga Kurylenko. Her English has got much better, and she also looks fantastic now. Did anybody see …
  • People either need to show respect or shut up. Now is not the time.
  • I hope it's not Boyle. Can't stand the man personally. Yes, the opening ceremony was fantastic, but that doesn't mean that he's right for Bond. He's a British guy turned Hollywood luvvie and everybody thinks they know him now. At least he's not K…
  • That's rubbish, it just means that MGM are on track and that we'll get Bond way before then. And everything on IMDB has to be taken with a truck load of salt!

  • Is Pierce in the play? If not, it's nice to see him actually in Ireland, rather than swanning around in LA. That's probably what they talked about! Be funny if we saw them in an LA restaurant next week haha!
  • I am cautiously optimistic on 2014... whilst I agree that EON would want a firm director and solid script, they've certainly got the latter! I would also imagine that there is (at least) a shortlist of very capable directors lined up - any of which …
  • GoldenEye?

  • Definite no from me would be Loach or Boyle. (Opinion, not fact ;) ) Left-wing and political. Also forget this rubbish about Danny Boyle and Craig at the Olympics. A 5 min sketch is a whole different ball game to directing a Bond film.

  • MODS: PLEASE CLOSE THIS UNNECESSARY THREAD Already duplicating posts in two other threads.
  • Somebody, somewhere, mentioned David Fincher. There was a discussion about whether an American should direct a Bond film, especially given recent focus on the classical British aspects of the Bond series. This was countered by the argument that Finc…
  • The only major reason I would object to Adele doing the theme is the same reason that I would object to Sam Mendes returning: they've both done fantastically well in their efforts and have been hugely successful with it. That isn't to say that ei…
  • Lets not forget, with the exception of the real SIS, most government departments are based in the old buildings around Whitehall and Ministers probably have old offices like that. I mean, look at the Foreign Secretary's office: And I wouldn't…
  • To follow on from Brady's point, a white DJ would be amazing actually. I can imagine at somepoint during the film, perhaps, the following scenario: - Bond on Naval Reserve duty with an SBS unit of the RNR in Singapore. (Bond naval uniform? Check.…
  • It's an area in central London near Parliament with several large government buildings where Bond is seen running through the streets before the enquiry shootout, and where many of the pre-1995 Bond film HQ's were set. I'm not sure exactly what t…
  • Everyone knows that the first head of SIS in 1919 was a guy named Mansfield Cumming, right?
