  • It'll be interesting to track how BR 2049 is perceived years from now. While the original BR is now hailed as a classic, it wasn't upon release. It built that reputation over time. Early reviews weren't kind, box office wasn't good and my own viewin…
  • I know it was said they declined to put the gunbarrel at the beginning of SF because of the shot composition and can't remember if they said the same for QoS but I think that works perfectly. No reason it shouldn't have been at the start.

  • It's sad when I open anything to get news I find another baseball HOFer or James Bond celebrity has passed. It's like some very weird Twilight Zone experience you can't escape from. But it's also a proper time to reflect on these folks' contribution…

  • Didn't Landis do a treatment of TSWLM back when they had that endless stream of writers contributing treatments in the mid '70s? That's probably how they knew him. Beneath him is kinda' funny considering his strength was comedy. McTiernan is a ni…

  • Hey, if Michael Meyers can wear a William Shatner mask, a Batman villain can wear a Timothy Dalton mask. The False Face episodes are 2 of my favorites of the Batman series. He's an interesting character and really gives the Caped Crusaders a chal…

  • Agree TSWLM is better than Conti's FYEO score, but I like better than the others I've mentioned. It is also very divisive for fans and I've always enjoyed it, there's some standout pieces there. Can't say the same for the most part for the others.

  • The first week of 2021 has been unkind for Bond fans so far. Sad for the losses of both Tanya Roberts and Michael Apted. Somebody had a meme recently that can we return 2021 after a week and move straight to 2022.
  • Interesting the Marvin Hamlisch score is so divisive. He's not Barry, but the score is grand, so much more memorable than anything Kamen, Serra, especially Newman and mostly Arnold have done with their scores. Yeah, you can argue the disco-influe…
