I'm still open to others believe it or not, just not that guy. There is a serious shortage of candidates, it seems.

I actually considered him back when I watched Shadow and Bone. I like him and wouldn’t be upset if he got the role, but he wasn’t the most charismatic actor in the show (though part of that is probably down to the character he was playing).

Yeah I'd need to see more of him; I'm not totally sold, but he was effective enough in Alien Romulus, if not someone I'm blown away by yet. He might not be good enough, or it might be a Daniel Craig in Tomb Raider situation: jury's out at the moment. But he ticks a lot of the right boxes and has a made a start at a film career.

I didn't even finish Alien Romulus, couldn't get into it, didn't even see the Xeno. There was too much chav accents for me.

As for Aiden Turner, I remember circa 2014 when he was suggested, he had that Dalton look and I was sold. Ten years later he looks older in the face but he still has that look. And as I've mentioned he's a dancer and he has fight choreography experience. I think he'd be greatly accepted over the younger contenders.
  • QBranchQBranch Always have an escape plan. Mine is watching James Bond films.

Amongst the big ears, boxer's noses, blocks of wood and beta boys that clutter up these pages, Aidan Turner seems like the only logical choice.

There are some good names MY COMMENTS ADDED

    1. Richard Madden COMMENT Watch The Take with him and Idris Elba, wherein Madden's character openly admits who's a real man, and it is not Madden's character. A demonstration. So, no.
    2. Sam Clafin COMMENT Handsome Nearly 40 and does not look it Know little otherwise
    3. Theo James COMMENT Handsome Know little otherwise
    4. Kit Harrington COMMENT Bond is supposed to be smart. KH, forevermore, will know nothing. Congrats on marrying Rose Leslie, though....Wow ! She'd make a great agent herself.
    6. Aaron Taylor Johnson COMMENT Listen to the pitch of his voice. So, no.
    7. Nicholas Hoult COMMENT Bond need not be classically handsome, no, but specific characteristics getting in the way are too distracting and contrary to a Bond's appearance.

Don't know much yet about Clafin or James but 4 of your 6, as John Pinette would have said, "Nay, nay"

    Henry Golding ?
I would say Idris Elba and film 2-3 movies at once, a la LOTR and others...
