How about getting Idris to wear some lipstick and a dress? Problem solved.

As for Danny Hairdryer - Babs like her Bond a bit of rough! He might have a chance. :P

In all seriousness, the next Bond actor is still probably only aged 25 to 28 and is under the radar to most people, making appearances in Holly City, Casualty and various other TV dramas.

Luke Thompson from In the Club? Maybe? Rubbish melodramedy but he held his own in it.
Wasn’t he also the lead in Nolan’s Dunkirk? Yeah, someone like him that’s not on anyone’s radar yet.

There is going to be an 'anyone but Craig' campaign soon if EON don't buck their ideas up.

Yeah, who knows! Maybe Dyer is the one to solve EON's problems! He certainly won't demand an auteur director. And what about having Ray Winstone as a very grumpy M? :D

Or we could get the incumbrat, uh I mean incumbent Bond to do it. He's experienced after all.

-How do you intend to approach Scaramanga, 007?
-He has a mistress. I'll take her place. Q, I'll... need this.
    -Really, 007.
-I admit it's a little kinky, but you know I feel comfortable wearing it.

As you can see @Torgeirtrap one of the mod team has removed said post for being unsuitable.
I think it's time to at least get this thread back onto a potential or possible thread of Bond actors.

    Love it Bazza. @barryt007
    But what about Turner...Aidan Turner.
Again can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd put him as a potential over quite a few others.

Very nice. There's a certain traditional elegance and flair to the top and bottom choices that I could advocate for. The middle guy is a bit of a brute, but I can tolerate him I suppose... under the right direction.

I would prefer any of these guys instead of Craig in Bond 25, and that worries me.

Was he? I haven't seen the movie but understood he had a small role in it.

I love all three of them.

My list right now as of 2018

    1. Michael Fassbender (he can do one like lazenby and I am fine with that)
    2. Tom Hardy
    3. Tom Hiddleston
    4. Henry Cavill
    5. Chris Hemsworth

Of that lot, I would prefer

    1. Fassbender
    2. Hiddleston
    3. Cavill
    4. Turner
    5. Hemsworth
    6. Hardy

These are outstanding; the one with Turner is particularly intriguing; and yes a Hemsworth poster would be awesome, Thanks @Benny

As mentioned before - (some!) fans have suggested:

    1) Henry Cavill doesn't have the swagger/charisma/lightness of touch to convince as a potential Bond. The words "stiff/block of wood/can't act" tend to pop up when discussing Cavill. Guy Ritchie had to tell Henry to change his American accent during filming of Man from Uncle. Ritchie was concerned Cavill's accent was so bad that people would think he couldn't act!

    2) Tom Hardy is rather short - 5'7", mumbled his way though Fury Road, looks a bit rough sometimes, has tattoos all over his body:

Can't imagine Fleming's Bond with tattoos. Chris Nolan likes him which could help his chances if Nolan directs Bond 26.

    3) Tom Hiddleston is considered by some fans to be a bit effeminate and lacking the tough quality you associate with James Bond. Watch Graham Norton's chat show where poor Tom was more of less ridiculed for auditioning for Thor. Norton was laughing at the idea Hiddleston was Thor material. Bond isn't as muscular as Thor but the concern is Hiddleston hasn't got sufficient alpha maleness to convince as Bond although I think this photo proves he has:

Can i just say I hate Tom Hardy. I think he is the most overrated actor of his generation, and a true numbskull underneath what passes as a brooding empty eyed reticent. Him being Bond with that tweety mouth and bouncer attitude would froze my love for the character until new blood came along. Have you guys seen his interviews? Sliced wrists would be the least of our problems.

That being said, I can't really like any of the mentioned candidates. Don't know why, though. Wether they are brutes or wimps. Cavill was cool as Solo, though. And the producers liked his screentest.

Tom Hiddleston is better suited as The Saint.

Very true. As Simon Templar. Very, very nice observation, Thunderfinger.

I have to admit at first I wasn't seeing Hemsworth as a Bond potential. But as with Turner, my mind has changed somewhat. Both have a certain something that could make them a possible contender.
I'll agree with @Univex on Tom Hardy. Maybe I'm missing something. He's not a terrible actor. But he's never made me think , wow what a great actor. Certainly never seen him as Bond.
Hiddleston would still be in my list, though it's probably unlikely. Showed me he had potential with The Night Manager, but by Bond 26, he might be a little too old.
I guess we need to get Bond 25 out the way first.

The same used to be said of Roger I think. At least my father used to believe that.

Hiddleston could make a decent Steed too.
