Don't recall him having any tattoos as Bane in TDKR.

Hardy is too old to ever be cast as Bond. It's like the discussion about Elba. Academic only.

Might as well be discussing whether Jason Isaacs would make a good Bond. I'd have preferred him over Brosnan, that's for sure.

Jason Isaacs would have been a great Bond in his prime.

Could Bond ever be Jewish though - would the Fleming purists approve?

I didn't realize he was already in his 40's. I agree that it's unlikely he will be cast at that age. I honestly have never seen Bond in him, although I admire and respect him as an actor and think he could easily do it if cast.

Craig isn't Jewish but he's married to one and before he did marry her, he acted as a Jew at least twice. Couldn't see why Isaacs being Jewish would mean the Bond character would have to be also.

You see I reacted to Max here. I don't think Hardy is a possibility for Bond--his FURY ROAD experience showed him to be a moody, difficult actor who didn't understand the director's vision. The producers surely know that history.

That's what we have now. The producers seem fine with it.

They also had that with Connery and he was the best Bond of them all. I have no issue with Hardy other than he is far too short to be Bond. At 5ft 8in he’s a midget for the role.

Did he look like a midget as Bane?

He had to stand on a higher platform etc so that 6ft 2in Bale didn't dwarf him. So yes camera tricks were required to avoid him looking like a midget. We don't need a short Bond actor. It won't work for publicity. Craig is just ok at 5ft 10in.

My biggest concern about Hardy is his tattoos .

Would they airbrush over those in every scene he wears a short sleeved shirt,t-shirt or is topless ?

He looks like a Council Estate Pauper. We don't want a working class asbo 007.

It's not exactly written in his face. Unless Bond goes full frontal nudity, Bond won't be Jewish if a Jew plays him. That's also why I've got no problem with a homosexual actor playing Bond.

He doesn't have the right... Face and everything (I think he looks too rough for Bond), but find a gay actor with the same skills and talent as Luke Evans who looks the part, and I'm all in favour.

I am wondering if Henry Cavill's confirmed involvement as the titular character in The Witcher series on Netflix may preclude him from consideration after Craig leaves.

Not that this particular property has any similarity to Bond, but commuting to something that is probably going to run for a few years would certainly make Bond tough to fit in.

Sans beard, he is looking very Bond in these shots; the hair and wardrobe are spot on.
Turner absolutely deserves a strong look including screentest.

Although he does look like Captain Nemo in the first shot.

He'd be my preferred choice for the role no doubt, but he's just a bit too old now, I think. A recast with Bond 25, and it would still be possible – just as with a few other names we're discussing. One of the "wasted opportunities" of the franchise.

It’s a fashion shoot folks, of course there’s going to be a degree of exaggeration. With some vision, looking beyond the beard and fashion shoot posturing, There is a strong contender in those shots .
    And yes he can act.

Although I'm indifferent regarding Turner, I have to agree fashion shots are bad images to base an opinion of. Try looking at videos and/or shots from a film/ TV series instead.
