Nolan for 25, Villeneuve for 26.
That could be good. I’m still wary of Nolan but I think it is possible he could do well. Just please no Tarantino for Bond - ever.
Imagine putting The Mamas and The Papas songs in the soundtrack. :))
Besides, Tarantino career has been sliding downhill since Jackie Brown. He hasn't lived up to his reputation in over a decade.
Young and Hunt got it on first try.
I don't know, but we are all quite sure about how Nolan works and writes. Anyway, it's not unusual for Purvis & Wade to need another writers after their work.
Right now, yes.
But this is show bussiness. Not the best example, but ask Kevin Spacey about All The Money in the World. That's Entertainment!
Well, he wouldn't be 79 until after Bond 26 had wrapped, his birthday is in October.
Just look what he achieved at 62, arguably too old and the oldest Bond director ever. Yes, a film widely considered top 5 in the Bond franchise by most people.
I don't believe there is a better choice on the planet for Bond 26. The man was built for this series, and he has expressed an interest in returning. He clearly hasn't ruled himself out.
I haven't seen The Foreigner (because for some reason a movie filmed and set in England that uses British/Irish politics as part of the story still has no sign of a UK release) but if it isn't great I doubt it has anything to do with his age, Campbell's always been a bit hit and miss with his films. But he's two for two with Bond so I don't see any reason to doubt that he couldn't deliver again.
Personally if Campbell was going to come back I'd rather it was for Bond 25. Him and Craig can finish what they started, then for Bond 26 complete Nolan led revamp.
I think Campbell's viability at the time would have to be evaluated closer to production . Hey, Clint is rounding 90 and still in the game.
not all critics are in the business of breaking scoops like that.
No, but if I were the critic's boss and I found out he had sat on a potential scoop (Nolan directing Bond 25), I wouldn't be pleased. Even if the critic doesn't break scoops, he should pass it on to his superiors rather than discuss it with a fan website.
Unless, of course, the critic did tell his boss, who didn't do anything with it.
Nice!
They ought to just listen to us and use it! Risico is about as good though. I have most wanted The Property of a Lady since Bond 23 though. Kind of would prefer a longer title again for a change.
