Opposite to others, I hope there is a lot of Q. Those scenes were the highlights of the movie for me. Great dialogue, great timing, great chemistry.

The part where Q is chased by goons through a ski chair was a highlight of Spectre for ne.

The Q scenes in the last two films were great, but now they should dial it back and just let Bond do his thing.

If there's any truth to those Lily James rumours, she either didn't get cast or is in possession of a time turner.

Baz Bamigboye: Exclusive: ⁦@GillianA⁩ & #LillyJames star ( as Margo Channing & Eve Harrington) in #IvovanHove version of classic movie #AllAboutEve .Performances run from mid February 2019 at the Noel Coward Theatre.
Yes, I was going to post this myself. If this doesn't disprove Cashleypersia's inside information, I don't know what will? Clearly, Lily James will NOT be appearing in Bond 25, therefore we can hopefully assign the rumours of a female rookie MI6 agent to the dustbin as well.

I certainly hope so. Bond should work alone as he always do.

I enjoyed Team MI6, yes even Tanner, in SF and SP, but it's time to focus on Craig's Bond, a'la CR and QoS.

    This.
Of course, I won't complain if he gets as much screen time as in SP, but at what point will Q become Bond's sidekick, yelling "Cover me!" as he dives out from behind a couch wielding dual signature guns :))

Let’s start with a good plot and then how can the characters best service the plot....

I wonder if we will ever get back to Casino Royale/Quantum of solace days

I think having Hodge as writer is the best chance we got for a very tight, and streamlined Bond film.
It just dawned on me yesterday that this movie will be the singular vision of a first time Bond writer. Not sure we ever had that in the franchise before? I think there will be nothing superflourus in this movie or things that feel tacked on.

Yes, I'm hoping for a tight little espionage thriller with lots of detective work and spying. Bond checking his room for bugs, the presence of blood after a brutal fight, sinister enemies lurking in the shadows and the likes. Something in the vein of DN, FRWL, TLD - or as @Risico007 said, even going back to the tone of Craig's first two. Personally I'd dig a slight noir vibe.

One hopes that, if the script is strong enough, Babs and MGW would allow this to happen without bringing on additional writers. And one hopes that Boyle would protect his and Hodge's vision for the film. Surely the two producers can vet and remove anything not "Bondian," although how they missed the "00 program" in SP is beyond me.

Who says 00 programme? Is it C? In which case that’s excusable isn’t it?

From a technical point of view, I don't see why saying "00 programme" is problematic. It's a written procedure on blueprint, approved by the authorities after they've read some literature on it, it's a protocol and obviously it would have a manual to go by. That's a "Programme", wouldn't you say?

In the Fleming's books it was always referred to as "section". Thus that what it should be called. "Programme" in some peoples eyes reminds them of the Bourne movies.

Both M and C call it by the name "Programme", yet, by the end of the film on Westminster Bridge, M calls it, gratifyingly, the "Double 0 Section".

"Section" refers to the team and operations including every member within. "Programme" would be the entity that forms the section. Again, I don't see anything wrong with M referring to C "scrapping the 00-programme".

True, they let former MI6 agents post agent profiles on Youtube, and unknowingly hire SPECTRE agents that plot to merge MI6 and demolish the Double-O Section while incorrectly referring to it as the "Double-O Program".
Bernard Lee's M would tolerate none of that.
"Of all the fouled-up, half-witted operations!"

    ---

Yes, that "Double-O Program" term is utterly wrong. The use of Double-Ohs isn't meant to be a temporary, transient thing. It's permanent, and it's no program.
When I hear it referred to as such, it never sits well with me when I view SP.
Just on the topic of the 00 program, I never saw a problem with Denbigh and Mallory referring to it as the 'program', because IMO this is the title used at a planning and management level.
The '00 section' is the program put into effect.

Having said that, I do share the concern, and hope they don't start calling the section that from now on - keep it as 00 'section', or even 'division' as seen on MI6/Q props from the Brosnan era.

Today is the first day of July which means 5 more months until bond 25 goes into production should we expect some location leaks this month?

I don’t have a problem with C calling it that but feel that M should only refer to the section.

The fact that M uses the proper term at the end of the film suggests me this is conscious and deliberate

No clue when they'll come; Boyle may still have another week, possibly more, on his Beatles film. I'd say we'll have something by August/September at the latest.

I wouldn´t be upset if they pull a Miller and keep everything under wraps until the release of the film.

It's why I'm going radio silent (or trying to, anyway) once we get some viable information and leaks starting up. The less I know going in this time, the better.

I’m going to try my hardest to know as little as possible. No idea how I’m going to do it because 90% of my internet time is spent on Bond.

Guess I’ll be spending a lot less time on the internet!

To each his own , but I will be doing my best to know everything before the film is released, which is what I've done for the last three films.
I find it makes for a very satisfying first viewing to finally see everything finally come together on screen

Whishaw delivered the best one-liner in a Bond film in a long time:

“I said bring it back in one piece. Not bring back one piece.”

    Craig’s reaction is priceless.

    This was damn funny!!!!!

This gap went by quick. Filming begins in 4-5 months time. They have to have locations & casting locked in at this point. Waltz was cast in July of 2014.
