I thought we were talking from an assumption that Craig is returning?
The have to continue the story (however shambolic it is) that they have started if he comes back. They need a resolution of the Blofeld situation. I'm afraid prison just doesnt cut it.
If Craig doesnt come back then they can completely reboot and start SPECTRE from scratch with a new Blofeld and build them up over several films instead of the total botch they made of it in SP.
There's nothing wrong with not wanting to see the current actor leave the role, but we have to realize that these tenures always either end early or end badly.
Yes. I came out the cinema after Spectre thinking 'well they've obviously tailored it as Craig's last Bond'. It's a full circle, and I don't see an un-killed main villain as a loose end. Blofeld never died in the other films anyway.
I watched Spectre again tonight, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's such a shame it didn't come after QoS, because I think it suffered from post-Skyfall expectations. It's a smasher of a Bond film. Sexy, thrills and spills, and beautifully shot. I can see how the story isn't as satisfying as SF, but I still love it.
I think Mendes had a real problem with gritty violence... I'd like to see that make a return, along with DC...
Echo chamber in here, I see. Let's go to the BAFTA nominations, shall we?

I'll probably get hell for this but technician who works on the bond films reposted the news on instagram.
There might be. LOL
But it took several hours for the NYDN to run the story, which would suggest they waited until they got some clarification. Meanwhile, major entertainment outlets, like Entertainment Weekly, are not reporting anything.
If someone at the Daily News called the Mirror, it's not mentioned. There's no mention of the Daily calling or contacting any of the principals to solicit comment. It's as if the Daily News is treating the Mirror story as confirmation in and itself.
Also, the word "reportedly" appears three times, including the headline.
If it's not true and an announcement is coming in the next few months they will have to shut it down so as not to disappoint some.
If it's not true and no announcement is forthcoming for the rest of the year I suppose they can let it ride too, because it will fizzle out in time, just like the other rumours over the past year.
Let's see what happens, because this one is getting traction for the time being.
Only with @QuantumOrganization.

Mods any chance of putting this clown of my misery? If this doesn't constitute spam I don't know what does.
Although fair play to you for going to the effort of trawling Google for every single instance of this story that has been copy and pasted to provide clickbait for crappy 'news' sites. Most commendable use of your time. I guess tomorrow you'll be basket weaving and the day after putting your hand alternatively into hot and cold water to see if they can detect any brain stem activity?
And just in case you're in any doubt - this was a personal attack.
No, you are right, they didn't say that. But unlike other media outlets, which immediately ran a story upon seeing The Mirror's, the NYDN held off. So why the delay? Chances are, some calls were made to check just how reliable the sources were. This may be why the Daily News is the only media outlet here using that terminology.
So, Harry Manfredini to score Bond 25? ;)
Doesn't make it true, but Bond is a popular entertainment figure. BS or not, he's news worthy.
And @TheWizardOfIce and @QuantumOrganization either get a room, or get over yourselves. The bickering and snide remarks are already tiresome. Can't you just get along, like normal people. Would be appreciated.
The fact is, I know YOU and YOUR posting habits on this site and have identified your obvious gullibility when it comes to "news"; and your lack of differentiating what legit and bullshit sources is something you've conveyed since you joined. No one needs to make me anything. I operate how I please and it's a shame that I and others have to point out to you the painfully obvious when it comes to "news reports" but carry on spamming the thread with your "scoops".
Absolutely, the amount of coverage the possibility of a new Bond actor has got from the media shows that there is still a lot of life in the series. Nonsense media reports about Bond are annoying, but they only publish them because there is interest in Bond.
