There's also the saying to cross a red line--a point of no return or line in the sand, or "a limit past which safety can no longer be guaranteed" wikipedia reports.
Lastly, the thin red line. From Kipling, Rudyard Kipling's poem "Tommy", from Barrack-Room Ballads, in which he calls British foot soldiers "the thin red line of heroes", referring to the stand of the 93rd Regiment in the Battle of Balaclava of the Crimean War.

Yes I nearly went khaki but I think the blue logo works better on the blue shirt. They seem to have sold out of their awesome Octopussy one in my size too, annoyingly.
