Don't worry. I don't have a cat. Just not doing anything special this weekend. I'll just watch movies and netflix serials. Out of income to spare for this weekend. So ,I'll just chill.
Now I have my own quarters together with two other Chief Warrant Officers.
I have spend some time on this forum, an absolute highlight after being away for 9 weeks and the most part of last December and January.
At 19:00 I will meet the 20 young para-scout trainees I'm going to supervise and teach for the next 36 weeks.
So it was an exciting very important weekend overall for me.
I am downloading all James Bond films including NSNA and Casino Royale with David Niven as I write this.
I own all of them as iTunes downloads as well. Thank Apple for their cloud system.
It will be special to watch them that way. I own a new 15" Mac Book Pro with touch bar. The screen quality leaves me breathless. I watched 5 minutes of OHMSS and I swear it looks almost better than on my 4K Samsung TV.
15" is ok with that kind of picture quality and the sound system is great too. When I watch them alone I will use headphones.
I'm not going to bore you with photos, but this one is fitting, taken in February and I'm literally jumping for joy. Backflip from the army vehicle.
And it seems it reminds some that have already seen it of the TLD PTS ha ha...
I'm going to be around mostly only on weekends, Saturday evenings to Sunday evenings. So I will at least give an update once a week :)
Lucky you! I have still got another day to go!!! :((
And we won the 4x200 !!
Also I got promoted this week! From Master Warrant Officer to Chief Warrant Officer.
Everything is falling into place perfectly for me now. I wish I could share photos. I have to be careful with those, there are very strict rules.
But I will see what I can get permission for :)
From midnight to four in the morning we are all allowed to stay up and celebrate outside in the night with a big bonfire and BBQ.
Saturday I'll return to the military airport where I will stay for almost the rest of this year. Sunday is preparation time for the first HALO and HAHO jumps that will take place next week. My first jump since 2011....nervous....but happily so.
XXX The Return of Xander Cage and it has some parachute jumping in it too. ;)
Also I got promoted this week! From Master Warrant Officer to Chief Warrant Officer.

When I served in the Royal Norwegian Navy, everyone served for fifteen months, and after a year or so everyone was promoted to "leading private" (same as corporal in the army).
Myself and two other buddies were the only ones that year in the whole navy, a thousand men, who were only promoted to "special private" instead (vice corporal).
Not because we weren t good soldiers, but because we were hashish smokers who wreaked havoc on morales on the ship and went our own ways, although nothing could ever be proven. Anyway, Congratulations on the promotion! :-h
Now that is simultaneously cool and terrifying. Respect!
Thank you!
I am more afraid of crossing the street as it is actually more dangerous than parachuting.
But I can assure you, the adrenaline rush is much greater while jumping out of a plane as by crossing a street :P and also I am never worried or afraid. The gear is totally safe.
So what fun and frolics are you lot up to this weekend ?
:)) That's the spirit Barry! :-bd
Continuing the work in the Garden of Death! ;) And some family time as it has been a tough week!
You moving far Largo?
So we wont be hearing from you on here on Monday then !
Thank you kindly. It's gonna be busy but I'll try to have a look in later on in the day.
Hope you will like it there.
Good for you! Hope all goes to plan, and do bring that removal truck back in one piece! :-B :)) ;)
Just been running up and back the backyard mountain Tiglio with the recruits. That's a mere 8km. That's 5 miles for you Americans.
In full gear, that's only about 20 kg on my back. That's 44 lbs. Not counting the combat uniform.
They gave me 2 minutes headstart, how kind...and I finished last, not by much, but last.
Ok, those guys are 21ish, all of them. And we were RUNNING Fast!
I'm certainly fitter than the average 42 year old, that's for sure. But I can tell you, that run up the hill and back was a reality check. I may feel like 32 inside, but my body tells me another story :P
Not to mention all the crazy stuff I have done in the last several weeks.
Do I have to do this all, nope. It's just my style of leading those guys, show them I am not above them and a part of them. Even if I am clearly above them rank wise, naturally.
I am sitting on my MacBook trying not to have a heart attack and my arms and legs feel like....feel? Do I still have them at all @-)
Oh and did I mention, this morning I helped the pontoniers (bridge builders) building a military bridge over a river (just for fun)!
So now it's time to finally admit to myself...to quote Murtaugh: "I'm getting too old for this shit!"
I don't even have to do all that stuff with the recruits. And I will take a step back now and act my rank AND age!
So this weekend I will admit to myself that I'm not 32 anymore :D that'll take at least Saturday and Sunday :P
I wish you all the best of weekends! Jason
