Now Brosnan’s tenure on the other hand? Different story.
Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are interviewed in The Guardian to promote 007's Road To A Million.

Here's the except from the latest interview:
On a different note, I asked Bing chat to list the 3 directors who are the most likely to direct Bond 26 in her opinion, based on publicly available information. The top 3 according to her, in this order:
1. Christopher Nolan
2. Martin Campbell
3. Denis Villeneuve
Yeah I think you’re right.
In your humble, overstated opinion, of course.
Maybe it is time for some new blood at the helm, a team that have urgency, want to get cracking as soon as they can, rather than a 4 year time-out, and still not even thought about where they go next. This sounds like the hunger isn't there anymore.
At this stage I'd be happy if the reigns were handed over to Nolan, give him full control. He can't do anymore damage than what has already been done with NTTD, and now the apparent lack of urgency to do another film.
I hardly think that they haven't been thinking about it, I'm sure there have been many discussions between Barbara and Michael. The official work just hasn't begun yet and now we can rule out period bond films now? Given the comments of modernizing the franchise.
Maybe we just have to wait for two more years like people did in 1993 after the last Bond film then was released on 1989.
Christopher Nolan, I wouldn't be that happy. I think I'd be happier if they handed it over to Kevin McClory.
That or among the very best.
Or both.
We are fortunate because there *will* be a next Bond film. All those Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins fans have been waiting since 1985.
Relax, baby! Ms. Big's gonna take care of you in a minute...
Let’s hope they finally get somewhere soon.
So, as he said, if preparations and casting could start in late 2024, development of a script could lead to a director being attached in 2025, with the subsequent rewrites and newly brought in writers, pre-production could start in 2026, with shooting taking place in 2027, post-production in the usual scramble-panic until a release date in late 2027, we would be 8 years later - and six years due to the delay of NTTD.
And he said that 2029 would be the most realistic year to release it.
I’d be happy with the game to tide me over but that might not be out for a while yet either. 2025 at the earliest
(https://www.mi6-hq.com/sections/articles/gaming-project-007-expected-release-date#:~:text=There is risk in the,released before March 31st, 2025)
and games get delayed all the time so who knows.
Well, the registration have closed since its deadline on April 22, 2022, (last year of April).
So, if the candidates were all ready, and so the set pieces, so I think it would start maybe the first quarter next year (2024), possibly Summer.
Interesting that the article emphasis "executives". Is it referring to Amazon still being in the process of sorting out their new heads of department at MGM?
