Lucky, @Dalton! Ever since I saw that trailer, I was dying to see the film. I really need to get around to doing so.

Looks awesome, I've loved him since OLDBOY, top top top. I feel a slight stiffening coming on.

I wouldn't blame you, @forgotmyusername. His films are amazing, Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance has to be one of my favorites. Hear about Park's first English film called Stoker? Sounds pretty good.

    Actually, here's my top ten:

    001: 2001: A Space Odyssey
    002: Blade Runner
    003: Akira
    004: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
    005: Léon
    006: Gone With The Wind
    007: Heat
    008: William Wyler's Ben-Hur
    009: Seven Samurai
    010: Spirited Away

Series with more than two entries, like Bond, Star Wars, Planet Of The Apes, Indy, ... are placed in separate lists, for I find it important to consider those films within their respective franchise.

Horror films are in a separate list as well, but they present complications. You see, I have at least 10 horror films that I would gladly put in a nr 1 spot, and then another 20 contesters for the nr 2 spot. I just can't ever sort that mess out. It's pure horror! ;;)

@0Brady, can't even begin to pick through that list of amazing films. But I will say, Collateral is in my Top Ten. Excellent performances from Cruise and Foxx, and yet another beautifully delivered film from Michael Mann. Glad to see another person who loves American Psycho as much as I do. Bale was at his finest there.

Much agreed. Collateral was a brilliant short thrill ride that is overlooked, as is American Psycho. American Psycho is one of the films that after watching it I questioned my sanity. The other was Henry:Portrait of a Serial Killer. Freaky movie. Inception counts too I guess, but I just questioned if I was really living or If I was dreaming. Ah well.

@0Brady, Collateral was excellent, dramatic, and has some of the most intense shootouts I've seen. The fight in the club or when Vince takes down the two gangsters who stole his briefcase in the alleyway is amazing. Yeah, American Psycho is really good. If you check all the little hints throughout the film, it can swing both ways: either it all happened, because there were so many cases of mistaken identity, and the street shootout was a dream sequence, or it was all in his head.

Shame to hear. I loved it. You at least have to admit, though, the one-take finale was pretty awesome, and skilled in how they pulled it off.

I've never even considered having a "favourite film". I reckon it couldn't answer it anyway, it would be unfair to the others that are just as good.

@DiscoVolante, good! Felt like a realistic movie dealing with the future - not so much the infertility, but how they show the world. And Cuaron, the director, knows how to direct, that's for sure.

Another one of my favorites: 'The Tailor of Panama', starring Pierce Brosnan, Geoffrey Rush, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Brendan Gleeson.

HEAT for me. Quite simply the last great film of the 90's and for some considerable time thereafter.
    Just superb.

Glengarry Glen Ross has to be an extremely strong second. What a cast??!!!
  • Godfather Saga. Amazing.
