Regardless, I enjoy QoS and SF perfectly well apart from Casino Royale. To be honest, the relationship between Dench's M and Craig's Bond never really resonated much for me to begin with, so the death of M in SF was never a big selling point for the film for me.
It's an interesting result for sure, I want to add that it's not about winning or losing, it's just an interesting way to see how people would decide if forced between two difficult choices.
Option 1: CR/SP (23 votes)
Option 2: QOS/SF (6 votes)
Personally I would vote for CR/SP as well for the obvious reason that SP is my No 1 and CR my No 5 in my ranking.
I will go forward to the next "impossible" choice in a day or so. Anyone care to add a vote?
And thank you all for participating.
It might be one of the better Craig films, but it is absolutely not universally loved. No Bond film is, let's be honest, not even Goldfinger.
Lol, okay technically nothing in the history of the universe ever has been or ever will be "universally revered." I didn't mean to imply that literally every person on the planet reveres Casino Royale. Just that a great majority of Bond fans clearly hold the film in high regard, whereas the same cannot be said of QOS, SF or SP.
Correct. CR is universally loved which means a great majority will praise the movie. The only one in the Craig era.
This time: Choose between keeping either:
DN and GF and YOLT
...or...
FRWL and TB and DAF
Imagine you could only watch one set of films and the other set never ever again.
FRWL, TB & DAF for the win.
I've never been a fan of GF. YOLT is decent enough but I have more fun with DAF. FRWL & TB are my #1 and #2 respectively.
I WOULD DROP FRWL AND GF LIKE AN UGLY BABY!!
Both stone cold classics, but nothing comes between me and my copy of Dr No. No's before hoes, as they say!! B-)
1. GF
2. DN
3. YOLT
4. TB
5. FRWL
6. DAF
The first three is still the best stretch of three films in the series. This way I get to keep two of those.
Wooo! :)>-
FRWL is my favorite, so right off the bat I would be hard pressed to go with any combination that didn't include it. As far as TB goes, I can't say that I rank it as highly as some of you, but I find it to be an enjoyable experience overall. And DAF can be an absolute hoot if I'm in the mood for it. Also, as @w2bond pointed out, it's just a great variety.
I would certainly miss DN and GF, two absolute classics. These aliens of yours are pretty cruel, Jason. It will be interesting to see how you divide up the Moore era.
It has to be any selection that includes FRWL. Even though TB isn't high ranking for me and DAF is near the bottom. FRWL is my favourite bond film - I'd say that along with CR it is essential for me. Those two above all others will always win. But DN and GF are easy top ten for me. And YOLT lower middle. So I think rewatching on pure numerical terms DN, GF and YOLT would easily beat TB and DAF by a long way. But FRWL is my number one - gotta go for it.
FRWL-TB-DAF
Its really DAF vs YOLT for me, and though I always thought the former the weakest of Connerys, I think it deserves reassessment, the last time I watched YOLT, I got rather bored!
Just wanted to pop in and say you're a despicable human being @BondJasonBond006. What a heinous act to perform, asking others to pick between DN/GF or FRWL/TB, leaving either the former or latter behind forever.
I would soon volunteer for death by fire than make this choice.
That train fight is far too valuable to lose.
TB also looks beautiful.
