Don't give P&W any ideas. ;)
DR NO, GF, YOLT
CR is not more then another trater in more violence version of Twine, but not lead to something exept Bond his feelings of failer in QOS. Skyfall: Silva whant to take revenge on M/Mi6, Bond and M on the run. My first feeling is Spectre is the better one from last two and closer to Qos, but without it is easier to make better follow up. A fellow up who can be Qos prequel and Skyfall sequel at same time because of no CR. CR And SP back editing room and name spectre: Never send flowers.
I rank Frwl and Daf higher and are more fun to watch, but Dr No and Yolt are more special.
Together there are more worth then Thunderball.
In fact I might take a DAF 3-scene pak, of
* pts, "Making muddies 007?"
* Bond meets Tiffany, smooth, smooth banter, set to John Barry mood music
* Bond vs Blofeld X2 Whitehouse penthouse showdown. Kick, screech, pivot, shoot. Damn! Wrong pussy.
over any combination of other Bond films.
DN/GF/YOLT
Option 2: FRWL + TB + DAF 13 Votes
This was a very interesting round. And the result as well. A tie. And even with one or two votes added it wouldn't change the picture.
Feel free to add your vote if you haven't yet. The aliens are deciding on what to make you choose from next as we speak!
A tie? Well, I guess we've gotta save 'em all then!
It was my plan all along, and why I didn't want to vote to offset the tie that I knew would be coming. >:)
Dr. No is legendary and You Only Live Twice is just barrels of fun. Goldfinger never has been a personal favorite, but contains so many iconic scenes and elements it would be a shame to lose this one to the far, cold reaches of space.
Thunderball is really the one I'm most sore about losing to those reaches. From Russia With Love, too, to an extent, but how often do I feel inclined to rewatch FRWL? Not very. The aliens can have Diamonds Are Forever. They could have it today without much squabble if they asked politely and maybe wanted to throw in a mud pie dessert and the DAF soundtrack for me as a keepsake.
DN
GF
YOLT
QOS
SF
On to the next one: The alien, in a surprise twist, didn't go to the next actor's tenure to present us two options but to the decades ;))
CHOOSE ONE OF TWO OPTIONS and explain your decision if you like.
This time: Choose between keeping either:
all Bond's of the 70s, 80s and 10s (12 films)
...or...
all Bond's of the 60s, 90s and 00s (12 films)
Imagine you could only watch one set of films and the other set never ever again.
Here the list of both options:
DAF LALD TMWTGG TSWLM MR FYEO OP AVTAK TLD LTK SF SP
or
DN FRWL GF TB YOLT OHMSS GE TND TWINE DAD CR QOS
I get to keep DN, GF, OHMSS and GE. :D
And I can always throw the Brosnan films in the toilet.
I'd hate to lose TSWLM, MR, TLD, and SP, but the Brosnan era is the best of Bond. I can't lose that.
60,90 and 00
Having GE, Tmnd,Twine but also GF, TB and DAD & CR or Roger Moore include MR but also Skyfall and Spectre. Four less movies against 3 and DAF and LTK make the difrence i go for keeping Roger Moore and Dalton, because Dr No is ranked 17, QOS 16, LTK 14 and DAf is ranked 12.
Easiest choice yet for me. The 60s and the 90s are my personal twin golden ages of Bond: the classic run of Connery's first five, Lazenby's masterpiece, and Brosnan's impeccable first run of three. Plus I get Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, Craig's finest Bonds yet? And Die Another Day just for goofs and to round out Brosnan's run? No contest.
The 80s will be missed. Moore really hit his stride at the end of his run. I'm also not happy about losing the Daltons. But the 70s were really the rock bottom nadir of the series for me, offering only Live & Let Die for my real repeatable enjoyment, and the 10s haven't fared too well to date. So thank you, gracious aliens, for allowing me to keep the series' better half! ;)
4 of the Bonds at their best, including Majesty's, From Russia, all of the Irishman and DC's first two, damn hard to go past that, although as others have said, still a shame to lose T-Dalt to outer space.
I'd rather keep the 60s films, GE (my first Bond films) and CR.
Option 2: 70s 80s 10s (4 votes)
so far Connery and Brosnan beat Moore, Dalton and Craig...
any more votes and reasons for it?
