Roger Moore in the 60s would've been perfect for the role. Then again, he sort of had his remake of Goldfinger with The Saint And The Fiction Makers.

I saw that long before I saw any Bond film, and it still reminded me of Bond.

Which Bond would you rather see in GOLDFINGER?

    Roger Moore-2

Not that Connery isn t perfect in the role, he certainly is.

    Moore.

I can just see him now trying to negotiate his way out of the laser scene.

In Nightfire multiplayer I loved to go in full GF mode, Auric, Oddjob, Pussy and me as Bond in Fort Knox. Always wondered how Brosnan would do in the real film.

I can't decide between Roger Moore and Brosnan, so I'll go for Lazenby instead. playfighting Pussy is right up his alley. (you dirty mind!)
  • Voting Connery, I can't see another actor here, this is his classic.

Only Craig has no votes yet. And Niven. Interesting.

I mean, Connery would be the best, but I think I'll make an unconventional pick and go with... Dalton.

Granted, a few moments don't suit him at all. Can you imagine him making silly faces at the guard? However, the PTS, his reaction to the death of Jill, being reprimanded by M, sneaking around Auric Enterprises, the car chase and being strapped to the table, the end fight in the vault... I think his intensity might work well here. I don't know. Can you see it?

There are no votes for Craig because he'd probably get himself killed in the laser sequence. There's no negotiating with him, as demonstrated during the infamous ball buster from CR. He'd just grin and bear being sliced in half.

    Connery.

Moore could pull off the superb lines convincingly & smoothly, but wouldn't be so impressive in his swimtrunks. Craig could nail the swimwear but I don't see him being as effortlessly super smooth with the line delivery as King Sean.

There can only be one (real?) man for TB imho. Accept no substitutes.

Again, Connery would be best, but just for fun I'll say Brosnan. If he could bring that same swagger he had in DAD, it just might work.

Brosnan. The only problem is that the film involves a lot of water, and we learned in the TWINE PTS that his default reaction to getting wet is to make Donald Trump facial expressions.

Craig, definately. Him and Fiona and Domino, sure would work. I can't see Domina falling for a Brosnan Bond. Sorry.
