Thanks DR Thunderfinger...he would be great as Scaramanga or Le Chiffre or Greene, with those eyes of his.

As Lee is the definitve Fransisco Scaramanga, may I suggest Eva Green as Francisca Scaramanga?

Good suggestion. Mads Mikkelsen, Vladek Sheybal, Louis Jourdan, Eva Green and Robert Davi have all been mentioned.

My own pick for Scaramanga-Sean Bean.

Allthough I'm tempted to say 'Grace Jones' again, Robert Davi I find the more obvious, and indeed Flemingesque pick.

    Oh no heaven forbid.

The third nipple will pass on to Nick Nack who will be portrayed by John Rhys-Davies on his knees.

Sorry, I forgot to contribute to this one. How about Benicio Del Toro, but at an older age than we saw him in LTK?

Some fan choices of mine for Scaramanga would be Sean Bean, Joseph Wiseman, or Christopher Walken.

And if you had to cast one of them, @Creasy47?

    I'd pick me, then.

No, if I had to select only one, I'd probably have to elect Walken. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't incredibly interested in seeing how that would go down.

    What about Walken?

I guess it must be a man who has the same age as Bond (35 to 45) to present him as a Bond equal.

So Davi and Walken both got a couple of mentions. Now however:

Which Bond villain actor would you rather see as Mr. Stromberg in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME?

Christoph Waltz. The role was originally meant to be Blofeld I gather.

I was going to say, I'd prefer it be Blofeld, as well, so I'd have to go with Telly Savalas.

Oh damn, I thought this whole time we were limited to the main villains of the films; I didn't know henchmen and the like are included, as well. Duly noted for the future, then!
Oh yes...villain is a general scope i think the good Dr Thunderfinger wants.

I've placed so many henchmen in other villainous roles, before changing my mind because they were only henchmen. I suppose this opens up a whole new avenue of possibilities.

I was the same, just kept running through the main villains, but then thought, hang on,villain means villain..and Dr Thunderfinger has not protested but embraced it ,so game on !

Stromberg is the prototype of a Bond villain. I guess you could more or less chose quite many of the other elderly villains. I could also think of Joseph Wiseman or Donald Pleasence in the way that Stromberg is actually revealed quite late in the film. He is actually not doing so very much in the beginning and it would be fine, if we only hear his voice or watch him press some buttons before we actually see his face toward the end of the film.
