What country would you like to be the MAIN location for BOND 26?

    It’s not a country, but let’s bring Bond 26 back to Outer Space, this time we can actually have him fighting aliens... ;)

    Yeah, America is such an ugly place. Those rock formations in Utah, or the Grand Canyon. The badlands of South Dakota are so ugly too. Those redwood forests of the Pacific Northwest, or the entirety of Alaska. The volcanos and beaches of Hawaii. Just completely dull looking. Same as the Appalachian mountains. Totally boring!

    The Adirondack Mountains, completely ugly to look at. Mount Rushmore? Incredibly hideousness. So dull!

    As an American, I get that the US is not exotic enough for Bond (aside from maybe some of the outlying islands).

    After New York, New Orleans, San Francisco, and (begrudgingly) Florida, I think there are not very enticing places left for Bond to visit here. Maybe D.C.

    There's no reason why 007 can't shoot in and out of the States every once in a while. There's plenty of striking architecture and both urban and wild settings for potential chases. When I was at the Getty Center in LA, I couldn't help but think how Bondian the location is.

    Or the Petersen ! Perhaps Q might arrange for Bond to pick up a set of wheels there ? Of course, there'll be no auto-chases in LA. Too much traffic ! Ignoring, of course, the auto-scenes they've already done in other unlikely settings with crowded streets. Off-hand, I recall Tokyo-or-nearby in YOLT, NYC in LALD, Paris in AVTAK...I'm sure there's more.

    If you ask the office nicely well in advance, sometimes the Peterson will let you walk around the collection before opening hours.

    Do you think if Bond 26 went back to jamaica it would be too soon?

    I don't think so. They use Italy all the time, and granted, it's got more variety within it, but even the parts (read: lakes) they use, they use constantly.

    Just look wherever Mission: Impossible is currently filming. It seems the Bond producers just go where the last M:I movie went, likely to piggyback tax deals.

    Ignoring the comments sh***ing on my country , I'd like to see Bond go to Morocco, Spain, Brazil and a return to my favorite country that I've never been to (but longing to go to), Japan.

    Who's pooping on your country ? Which country is your country ? By the way - isn't Morocco where they have that all blue very blue part of town ? Cool place for a segment, yes ? and, no, I would not even suggest that the background music need by a blues song, nor Rhapsody in Blue. Just that, visually, it's so cool.

    As the Formula 1 season has started again, my idea to have a race weekend feature heavily in a Bond film has been renewed. From among the current F1 tracks, I'd probably take Singapore or (clichéd, I know) Monaco as the most Bondian backdrop tracks that would also make sense as main locations in general.
    However, the last time I brought this up, I was assured that there is no way for a production of Bond's size to work in tandem with a production the size of F1.
    So instead, I thought maybe other motorracing would be a better fit. Other types of racing would also have the benefit that it might be halfway comprehensible for Bond to get into a car, which would be 100% unbelievable in F1. At first I thought the Rallye Dakar would be a cool fit and could lead to some fun scenarios, but I hadn't realized that no longer takes place in Argentina/South America (let alone the classic Africa route), but instead - like so much racing and other high society events - is now run in Saudi Arabia, which I just find wholly uninteresting for a Bond location. Maybe it would be more practical for them to just make up a racing event. In that case, the threat of terrorist attacks on the race that stopped the Dakar being run through Africa might be a good jumping of point for plot. The problem then is that you lose the marketing tie-in that would be massive with something like F1.
    I don't really know enough about LeMans to make a call there.

    On a completely different note: Given the geopolitical landscape, the Baltic states might provide some intersting plot hooks and are also very beautiful.

    It'd be nice to go to place where the series hasn't been before or not in a long while. Seeing Matera and Jamaica in NTTD was a treat

    How about the Seychelles ? Not for the entire film, but a portion. It was used by Fleming. It was notorious as a place, during the Cold War, where agents for both sides hung out. It is uniquely beautiful.

    For Bond 26, I just want a sense of wonder from the places Bond visits. Think TSWLM and the pyramids--you felt like you were there. Aside from the PTSes in SP and NTTD (and arguably SF), the locations of the last three films felt oddly generic/disconnected from any physical place. This is something I think CR and QoS did better.

    Yep completely agree on this. Jamaica was well used in NTTD but I just wanted more of it
