    I'm really glad Bond remains timeless. He doesn't conform to current trends.

    Eric Kreigler looks like someone Kimberly Drummond would go for. Locque looks like a villain one might see on Rockford, or Starsky and Hutch and Apostis looks like a drummer in a 1970's rock band.

    Bond looks like Bond.

    Bond on top of the ski jump- genuine suspense here and Conti's score works beautifully IMO.

    Ski chase............some good stuff here.

    Hockey fight- maybe the weakest action scene in the film, though I do like seeing Bond knocked around a bit.

    Bond and Melina hanging out. Everyone else is wearing printed T-shirts and shorts. Bond is smartly dressed in a double breasted navy blazer. Once again I repeat: I'm glad Bond is timeless and classic.

    Casino scene.

    I really pictured the casino scenes in the CR novel having the same ambiance as presented here. Smoky, dimly lit.

    Bond dining with Kristatos.......another bit i like. Dinner with the villain tradition.

    The waiter who serves Bond looks like a young Henry Winkler out of Fonzie mode.

    I love the Columbo meeting.

    Great scene. I always like scenes when Bond is dressed in dark casual attire and ready to do some sneaking around a night. Another element that needs to make a comeback, IMO.

    The warehouse battle has the type of mood I picture when reading Fleming. I think there's a warehouse scene in the LALD novel (been years since i read it).

    Neptune- I love the Bond Theme arrangement here. Later used in Happy Anniversary 007.

    I used to have a Seiko similar to Roger's here. Wish I knew which model it was. It was a huge diver's watch.

    @ToTheRight, the watch Moore wore in that film is a Seiko Gold "Tuna" Professional Diver’s 600m model S60583, case number 7549-7009 with titanium case.

    The one in the top picture looks exactly like what I had. This was 20 plus years ago, I remember the outer casing was off so I had to put it back on. The watch was a wind up. Pity didn't keep it. Back then there really wasn't much as far as info on the watches.

    The warehouse scene in the film LTK is somewhat based on the one in the novel LALD. The one in FYEO is from the short story RISICO.

    That's right. I love the LTK warehouse scene as well.

    Great viewing of FYEO tonight. It hit the spot.

    DAD might overtake MR as my bottom Bond film. It’s basically a tie right now between them. Even then I’ll take them both over the average bad movie.

    Always enjoy catching up on this thread and the many great running commentaries from @ToTheRight @Birdleson and many others. We need to organize a group hangout viewing on this thread sometime.

    TWINE is the only Bond film in which Pierce doesn't have casual attire. With the exception of the ski suit and Renard uniform jacket, he's dressed in tailored suits throughout.

    And what lovely suits they are. I particularly like the charcoal-colored one he wears with a printed tie in the PTS MI6 scenes, and the linen suit with blue shirt in Istambul.

    Very underrated movie. The first half is almost flawless.

    I like TWINE, but it could have and should have been so much better. Christmas mars it, and Renard really isn’t an interesting villain. Also, nothing of interest really happens once Bond kills Elektra, who is the best part of the movie.

    One thing I have to say is that I love the chemistry between Brosnan’s Bond and Q. Maybe my favorite pairing of any Bond actor with any Q. The last scene with Llewelyn in TWINE is great stuff.

    He is the most disappointing Bond villain I think. Could have been far more interesting and used better. Fortunately Elektra is a great villain.

    Bond leaving and returning to the sub qualifies, IMO.

    I think the concept behind the character is terrific, even though the execution leaves something to be desired. But since Robert Carlyle is a compelling actor, he makes Renard a compelling character.

    I was thinking about this scene recently. It's one of my personal favorites from GE, as well as the whole series. The best part of the film's score for sure.

    I agree with all of you,i think its a great film and Pierce is fine in it .
    The only weak points are Jones and Renard.

    The casino scene, though traditional, feels a bit obligatory here is if it was a necessity to introduce Bond to new audiences by having him make a casual stop in a casino. A way to showcase the iconic image of Bond at a gambling table.
