M is surfing the net in her flat on her time off. Just like everyone else in this day and age.

Admiral Miles would be playing cards at Blades this time of the evening socializing with the elite.

Bond in Macau. There's a great Robert Mitchum/Jane Russell film noir called MACAO from 1952. I should watch that later tonight.

Homage to THUNDERBALL in a sense as Bond arrives at the casino. I love scenes like this that evoke the true spirit of Bond's world.

    Again breathtaking cinematography.

There is a haunting sense of danger and dread that accompanies this entire film. I often felt that when reading the Fleming novels. The Craig films bring that ambiance in spades and it's been a long time since the Bonds brought that tone.

Perhaps it's knowing that our Judi is going to die horribly at the end?

Severine is one of my favorite Craig Bond girls.

    I love this casino sequence!

One of the things about Craig is he's timeless. Just based on his look, I could see him in period adaptations of Fleming as well as contemporary .
He's as classic as he is modern. I can't say that about Tim in LTK, or Pierce in any of his films.

    The Silva monologue. Bip.

    He should have said:
"Just look at you! Barely held together by your pills, your drink ......and your scrambled eggs".

One of the best villain introductions in the series. Timing his walk so he concludes the speech as soon as he reaches Bond is great. I want to say they only had to shoot it once or twice, too, makes it even more impressive.

    A great scene.

Tanner looks uncomfortable in the background as Silva is imprisoned.

At least Tanner didn't get sick like M's wimpy assistant in CR after Silva removed his mouth prosthetic.

I love the tunnel section. Probably my favorite set piece in the film.

I just got a jury duty summons yesterday. I'll probably be thinking of M's speech while I'm in court and start cracking up.

Indeed. If I am selected to go in and it ends up being a drawn out case I will most certainly have to throw in the "sake of variety" line as we discuss the verdict.

    Wonderful moment.

Kincaid- the amazing Albert Finney! I cannot express enough how much I love Finney as an actor. One of my childhood heroes.

Yeah. It's a kind of summation of their patchy relationship so far.

As much as Craig's clothes get thrashed on, I really like his Skyfall outfit. The dark green jacket over the blue sweater looks damn good on him.
