I ma watch this one again in a couple days.
COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually think Tim delivers that line beautifully and it's quite funny.
This is right out of a 1940's Republic or Columbia serial.
I also remember him from Return of the Killer Tomatoes.
So continues the newfound tradition of a different song for the end titles.
I prefer that to the 21st Century tradition of playing the same sub standard Bond Theme arrangement during the end credits of every film.
I'm with you. Lovely indeed.
I thought he was fine in MR too. FYEO is when the age began to noticeably show.
I can tell you that I was reasonably frightened of him the first time I saw him, and that was on a crappy VHS copy. I can only imagine he was far more terrifying on the big screen in 1977.
We are talking about a dessert desiring Sir Rog in his prime here. Her sudden change to the side of good and virtue is understandable. It's all in the technique.
Never understood that bit either. I'm assuming he left because he saw Jaws lurking, but still it was a bad move.
Good point. Never consciously caught onto that before.
:)). I've always enjoyed that bit.
One of the more frightening scenes in the film for me. Love the way his horrified expression is interspersed with the dancers on stage. The music changes just as he's killed - becomes more mellow. Nicely done.
This whole section of the film is one of the most iconic in the canon for me. It's just so well done. Atmospheric, romantic, stylish and suspenseful. Tremendous work.
So true. This is the moment where she wilts. Game over.
I do enjoy this fight though. It fits the tone of the film. An FRWL style encounter would have been too brutal for this outing.
Love the Lotus too. I actually prefer it to the DB5 (the OHMSS DBS is my fave). I have to say the XXX jealousy moment always gets a smile out of me. Rog plays it well and Bach is excellent there. If looks could kill. Smoldering.
I can't exactly remember the first time I saw this scene but it really blew me away as well. For years this was my favourite Bond film and I always waited for this sequence. It holds up surprisingly well 40+ years later too. Iconic, and the film probably peaks here.
The kid survives to pilot the 747 in the MR PTS.
One of the more memorable moments of the Bond theme being used in the canon imho.
Rog's look when XXX has the gun to him cracks me up every time. Great bit of acting by both of them.
Good point about MR ending the same way. Why change a good thing.
According to John Glen, it tested higher than any other previous Bond film. The poor marketing did it a lot of damage!
In the mood for a Sean and I'd watch some of the others recently, so here it goes.............
Possibly my favorite in the series.
On The Tracks of 007 I believe visited this site awhile back, Those tanks are still there.
Perfect Bond haircut, IMO.
Great work, IMO.
Iconic.
another piece of music I love.
1964 seems like so much fun. If I were ever to visit Miami, I'd rather it be the Miami of 1964 than today.
I get pissed off on my day off when I get called in to fill in a shift.
Yes I know. You're very sweet.
