Not the best finale though a good Bond film, as fans we are lucky there are so many good films credit to Cubby.

    MOONRAKER

Jake Lombard dives downward and struggles with BJ Worth.
GREAT Barry music here, I must say.

Jaws happens to know how to parachute as well. Bond pulls the cord just in time.
If this were four years later, we'd get the OOHHHHHHROOH sound here.

One of my favorite title sequences.

I like the girl flying. We really don't get the nude women in title sequences any more.

I miss Bond immediately entering Moneypenny's office after the titles. Now that we have the old office back, wouldn't it be refreshing for Bond to do that again?

Bond effed up M's painting..... and he doesn't give a sh!t.

    I like i already.

    The Blu-ray looks amazing.

And a naked Bond....meh,what the heck is that all about ?!

The shirtless shots of Craig spoils it for me, though. Roger was always smartly dressed in the titles, courtesy of Binder. Maurice saved the topless moments for the models.

I definitely don't want shirtless Bond to become a constant in the title sequences, but in Spectre, I did like the alpha male quality of shirtless Bond surrounded by a bunch of women caressing him and dancing around him.

In this PC era, having the shirtless male there as well is probably necessary - or doing away with that style altogether, a la CR. It’s silly, yes, but we all know how the PC police get so easily triggered by everything now.

Yes!!!! I always felt the Brosnan era had some solid poster artwork.

I'm on the cable car crash/Dolly scene. I love the cable car fight. MR is essentially one stunt/action sequence after another, with humor injected. Plot and story written around the set pieces. It really was a huge hit back in '79. That might be what we need now. Seems to have worked for MI: FALLOUT.

    The Magnificent Seven!

Now onto the boat chase complimented by a laid back version of the 007 Theme.

    Jaws goes over the cliff.

So ends MOONRAKER. Although not the most popular Bond film it hits the spot for me, and was one of my favorites growing up. Also the first Bond film I saw.

One of my favorite moments with Craig in SP is his little smile he gives Q after the 48 hours line.

I never liked the scenes between Craig and Bellucii in SP, certainly when Craig comes on to her, it's cringe worthy and feels forced in more ways than one. I think arguably Craig's best scene in SP are at the clinic, some of the dialogue is good also.

Craig was great in his first two films as the films played to his strengths. Craig is decent in SF though its the contrived script I can't tolerate in that film.

Just watching the clinic scene on my phone, he is droll when talking to Sedoux. When he is at the bar he has snappier dialogue. The coma inducing score does not help.

SP is by far Craig’s weakest performance. There’s a few parts I particularly enjoy from him like his last moments with White or his first couple moments with Blofeld, but overall it’s a very uninspired showing given his first 3 awesome Bond performances. He felt a little too light and autopilot too often in SP, kind of like the edge was gone. I believe he can rebound in Bond 25 though.

It is an odd seduction scene with Bellucci . His reading of "Bond....James Bond" in that scene is without hesitation my least favorite in the series. In fact, I prefer Peter Seller's CR reading of that line over Craig's there.

I am a huge Sellers fan, I would say Sellers was more measured than Craig in execution of that line. Actors can buckle under the weight of that line.

I also really didn’t like Craig’s “Bond, James Bond” in SP. Did not work very well IMO. On the other hand, his “Bond, James Bond” readings were absolutely perfect in CR and SF.

His deleted reading that can be heard at the end of QOS for the Nintendo DS is pretty good as well. Not a fan of the SP version.

SP is a strange film I am not sure which variation on a formula Bond film I would group it with. It attempts to exploit OHMSS and fails bordering on insult, its not a serious Bond nor a outlandish one, it's just there... It has some occasionally good cinematography and the rest of the film feels flat and uninspired.

For me it's closest to a TND/TWINE combo. It's similar to TWINE by being tedious and bland in some cases (most notably in the performances), with poorly executed action sequences and tonal imbalances. However it's also similar to TND in being overly predictable with a distinct 'been there before, done that better' approach.

It is in sync with the film, scorewise.

I enjoy the PTS and title song pretty well. Neither are quite among the series’ best, but still pretty enjoyable.

IMO, the best of the series along with GE.

Been a good watch of LTK as usual. However, there is a chance it may slip out of my Top 10 for the first time. I’ll just have to see as the marathon goes on.

LTK has an amazing climax. My favorite segment of Dalton’s Bond era.
