Let's see what I have to discover this time 'round.
I love the LTK elevator.
Johnny Lawrence as played by Daniel Craig.
Bond looks great walking along the ledge.

I may be in the minority, but I think he looks more Bondian with each film.
Someone on Facebook said Craig looks like Mr Roper from THREE'S COMPANY.
No he does not.
I must say the yellowish tone has grown on me.

I remember seeing one of THE MATRIX sequels in the cinema and noting an overall greenish hue. This reminds me of that slightly.
The PTS is very sepia toned, here.
I think this is a very solid PTS.
Bond is given the finger and he takes the Spectre ring from it.
I think in this day and age it's very popular to have some sort of digital color grading.
MAN OF STEEL comes to mind along with other DC films.

This is very classic old school Bond.
I think her secret in NTTD is that Safin created some youth revival genetics formula, M actually survived Skyfall, was part of SPECTRE all along and became Madeleine Swann.
Bond has been in a romantic relationship with his former boss for the past 5 years.
Blofeld, the author of Bond's pain has been laughing his a$$ off in prison for the past five years as well.
Funny the things I can come up with while watching the SP torture scene.

This really doesn't feel or look like a typical Bond climax.
This could be a scene from any standard espionage/psychological thriller from the late '80's.............starring the legendary Michael Caine.
I should watch THE FOURTH PROTOCOL again some time.

Either one would have been funny.
SPECTRE was an inspired Bond film.
Eon gets what they want: Craig back for another film
and the value of Craig's wallet increases many times.

This makes THE GODFATHER TRILOGY look like 8 mm home movies from the 1970's.
Bond is wearing his laser wristwatch in the opening scenes before Q actually gives it to him.
I'm predicting NTTD to come across as a remake of this entry.
I love Edward Fox as M. I think he's great and a precursor to Ralph Fiennes.
Fatima's entrance is pretty good. The SPECTRE board meeting is pretty funny.
I actually like Max Von Sydow's Blofeld.
I think Sydow probably could have played Dracula as described by Stoker in the novel.
Largo has some HUGE glasses.
Patricia Fearing is tending to Bond's bad back.
As much as I love Craig, I think Connery in this film perfectly embodies a world weary retired 007. I love that his age is acknowledged and that he's a bit rusty.
Still, he's 110% pure Bond.
I vividly remember that shot in the cinema.
I also remember Connery's facial expressions as he'd being strangled by Lippe on the bench press machine. Pierce would later study this film and mimic Connery's pain face to the 10th power.
I wonder if Pierce ever did see this film?
Pat Roach is great. The legendary Vic Armstrong worked on this one as well.
I did watch SP again recently....and i still enjoy the sections i have liked from my first viewing. The PTS, the whole section in Rome, the MR. White scene, the train and that fantastic fight, Bond and Madeleine waiting for the Rolls, and I like the Meteor speech. After that!!........well that's still a lot more than all four of Brossas movies put together!!
I think Brandauer's Largo is an underrated villain.
There was a great website devoted to Bond's watches, but not much info on this film.
I love that Q branch looks like a dirty auto repair shop.
Bond is impeccable as always, though.
Great Q scene, IMO.............and we get to my favorite Hammer beauty: Valerie Leon.
My fave alongside Ingrid Pitt (In, out! In out! In out!), Julie Ege, and Veronica Carlson (who I think could have been a great Bond girl).
007 is hanging out at the bar and is about to request the band play his favorite song, "JUMP UP" when Fatima interrupts.
The Bond/Fatima scene here is great, and so poorly remade in DAD.
The Domination game is a lot of fun here as well.

Agreed. There's that raging psychotic bubbling just underneath the surface and he plays it so well. He has some good lines as well.
I really enjoy NSNA. It has so many great moments and some witty lines. It's a shame it has a lacklustre score and a weak climax.
Most of the action is not very well staged, but I enjoy it mostly for the performances, namely Connery, Brandauer, Von Sydow, Alex Mckeowns Q, and I adore Barbara Carerra, and stylishly shot by the great Douglas Slocumbe!
There are some decent cues in Legrand's score (The instrumental of the main theme when Bond returns home from the casino and the rescue of Domino on horseback are rather good) but overall it's just not Bondian enough.
I presume you're talking about "Never Say McClory Again", by Blofelds Cat. I've got it, and it's good. It uses music from all the other Bond films released up until then, and it generally works well. While it doesn't make for a very cohesive score --different cues, by different composers, recorded in different eras--, the music certainly contributes toward creating a proper Bondian mood, and it suits the scenes it accompanies. Blofelds Cat could've used a single score from a previous Bond film to rescore NSNA, but it would've made it feel too reminiscent of that other film, I think. Only a few choices struck me as inappropriate. IIRC, Hovercraft Chase from DAD is used for the horseback escape, and its techno sounds don't fit with the rest of the music. A cue or two from Legrand's NSNA score are also used (the soft music when Bond and Felix are on a terrace spying on Largo's yacht).
There are other welcome additions. The Thunderball gunbarrel is added at the beginning, as is the title sequence of that film (set to a Shirley Bassey song whose lyrics perfectly describe NSNA). Some scenes early on are satisfyingly reshuffled to create more intrigue, and some of the funny bits --that perhaps go a little further than you'd usually expect from an EON Bond film-- are cut.
All in all, it's a highly recommended alternate version of NSNA. I even synchronized and added some Spanish subtitles to it. That said, the original cut of the film is still essential, simply by virtue of being the original.
