And the bomb is stopped on 007, of course it does!

The finale. Goldfinger turns up for one final try for Bond with his golden gun.Have to say Goldfinger looks great in uniform

    And Goldfinger gets sucked....eh...out!
So ends Goldfinger, and the movie.
Good watch for a classic Bond movie. Still very entertaining!

In honor of the enormous, annoying, big ass snow storm we had today in my area, time for another snowbound Bond:

    FOR YOUR EYES ONLY

My favorite Roger Bond when I was a
    kid.

I used to have a Naval sweater like those dudes are wearing in the St George's sequence.
This scene doesn't outstay it's welcome.

I love Melina's introduction. Great scene. She's become one of my favorite Roger era Bond girls.

Tanner is no substitute for M unless Kinnear were playing the role.

    Try to keep it up...............

    and ease it in...................

    to get that good vibration................

Melina's trying not to laugh as they run through the woods to her car.

My favorite scene...........A DRIVE IN THE COUNTRY.

If for some reason, I were being chased by a group of henchmen and had to pick which Bond to get behind the wheel to drive me to safety, I'd have to go with Sir Roger.
We'd come out unscathed, I'd learn a few new driving techniques and have a few laughs along the way.

Q is great. I love the rapport between Desmond and Sir Roger.
I also love that Bond and Q stay after hours working on the Identigraph, sipping coffee.

007, try not to eff it up again.

Tanner is a surprisingly weak substitute for M. Bond's let him off easy. When I was a kid we knew how to deal with substitute teachers.

    The snow sequences!

    PULL EXTEND YOUR AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARMS!
I like the Bibi character. My late girlfriend did not. She thought Bibi was annoying and unnecessary. I think she's one of Michael G. Wilson's crowning achievements.

Luigi goes to shake Kristatos' hand and gets dissed to the max. LOL.

Bond still pays for the dozen lilies after rescuing Melina.

Bibi tries to talk to Eric as he skis by and gets ignored. That interaction is a great display of her immaturity. Bond keeps his cool and leaves. My face would've been bright red.

The ski lift scene is wonderful.

Bond gets attacked on his way down. Great stuff.

Bond really gets knocked around in this film. Not Craig era bloodied, but he has to work hard in this film.

I enjoy seeing the tougher side to Roger Moore's Bond. The stunts are amazing.
That little duck Bond does during the bobsled bit ..................

...........also his tumble in the snow afterwards looks painful.
Eric loses his cool and throws a tantrum as well as his bike.

Bond gets thrashed at the hockey ice rink as well.
That is until the scene becomes a joke.

I like Bond's outfit as he and Melina go shopping for the crew. Reminds me of Brosnan in GOLDENEYE.

............and another section of the film I love to pieces: the casino sequence.
The darkly lit interiors are wonderful. The film itself is quite subdued in it's visual look. Naturalistic rather than extremely bright.
I also love the dinner scene between Bond and Kristatos. Very Fleming, IMO.

Yes, indeed. And I love the music there. Beautiful. The scene is fantastic, really.

Bond, Lisl, and the soothing, easy listening, AM radio sounds of Bill Conti.

The striped bathrobe Bond wears here is nowhere near as funny as the one Connery wears on The Flying Saucer in NSNA.

Great beach sequence, reminiscent of the OHMSS PTS.
I love the angry expression on Roger's face after Lisl gets run over.

and we get to yet another favorite scene: Bond and Columbo.

    This is wonderful.

Nice little touches, throughout this brief scene, @mattjoes. Like Bond taking a bite of that fruit. The extras, though can't seem to keep their eyes off of Sir Roger.

The warehouse scene is excellent, too. I love seeing Bond in dark clothes. Roger Moore looks damned good here.

    Ah the iconic Locque moment.

Hmm..........I do think the Blu-ray is a bit dark here, though.
Columbo looks extremely satisfied to see Locques corpse below.

Conti's rendition of the Bond theme during the Neptune bit was used as the main title theme for HAPPY ANNIVERSARY 007.

    Here we go..........the keelhauling section.
Bond us getting thrashed. I can just feel Bond's wounds here.
All over his back and blood everywhere.

    Great climax at St Cyril's.

The Thatcher bit is a little silly, though.
I think Tanner here makes Edward Fox's M look like, well Bernard Lee.

Superb viewing. Really hit the spot.

Love that Casino set piece, its definitely like something Fleming would write..like the opening text in Casino Royale!

It's a really impressive sequence. Incredibly well shot and edited. These days it would be mostly CGI.

Exactly! For instance, I can't imagine any real sharks being used in a Bond film again.

When I read the CR novel I envisioned the casino looking about like this.

Love that entire sequence, from the fight on the boat to Locque's satisfying demise.

    My favourite Moore film.

Its a great oldschool sequence, no big stunts, but its an exciting and well staged action set piece!
