Mine is an obvious Bond reference as a tie into FYEO. I rather liked the idea or sick joke of a gangster calling himself "The Dove" as a harbinger of peace.

I did have something very creative and witty in mind when I created the name but alas it was already claimed. Or was it that just a dream? Wondering what on earth it was now that significant time has passed! :)

My username is mattjoes, after the MI6 Community username of the man who will succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond in the EON films. Just give me a few years, I'm trying to make it happen but it's not as easy as I thought
  • My username refers to a cat we used to own many years ago before she was tragically taken from us. My memory is hazy as to when she departed from this earthly coil, but I remember her name all too well.

That's a lovely tribute to your cat in your username, @MotleyCat74.

If you'd like to share your memories of Motley or any other cat you've had you can do so at the following thread I started here some years ago:

I don't know if anyone's ever told you this, but you also look exactly like Barbara Broccoli. So I guess you were indeed born to be here.

Pssst. Be polite. I think that is Barbara, and she legally changed her name. Maybe she wants to be left alone, so be a gentleman, huh?

    Now act like nothing.

I always had a soft spot for TMWTGG, Scaramanga is my favourite villain of the series and the golden gun my favourite gadget of the series.

I was also always looking for it while playing Nightfire’s multiplayer.

I always assumed you were referring to your man-thing. Like a snob. 😉

Nice to know the meaning of the '06 part anyway. You're a good addition to the ranks. Stick around. :)

Obviously my username comes from James's aunt. I wanted something simple and a female character because I'm a woman and as female characters are so integral to Bond I thought it would be fitting (and having "Bond" in it is an extra nice touch).

Of course Charmian is first mentioned by Fleming himself, in the obit in You Only Live Twice but she's fleshed out in the Young Bond series which while not my first introduction to Bond is the one that captured my heart.

You know, it's not the first time someone has said this. Maybe there's something to it.

We have a suburb here in South Australia (not far from me actually) called Craigmore.

It's not quite the same though is it?

Through the theory of evolution it should get there some day.
