A Christmas Carol is my favorite of all the DW Christmas specials with Matt Smith, Katherine Jenkins :x and Michael Gambon. The DW revival really was at its peak around this time of A Christmas Carol.
Clara: "Are you...Santa Claus?"
(Nick Frost as Santa Claus): "Me? No! Oh no. That's just, that's ridiculous. No no no!"
;-)
😂😂
Seriously though the 1978 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' is on that short list of superior remakes! That final shot always chills me to the bone!
It is an absolutely amazing film. And yes, the perfect Christmas movie.
The Spy Who Loved Me (Big Bond at Christmas entertainment)
The Bride of Frankenstein
The Old Dark House (Don't know why, but this Karloff double bill makes me feel Christmassy!!!)
2001: A Space Odyssey (A December tradition)
Avengers Assemble (A big holiday blockbuster)
Die Hard (Natch)
Good list mate! No need to apologise for 'The Old Dark House'
I would have Polanskis 'The Fearless Vampire Killers' as a must watch every Christmas, don't know why, it's just become a staple of my festive viewing!
OHMSS has become an annual Christmas Day watch, 'Where Eagles Dare' is also a regular watch, and 'The Italian Job'. There's a couple of 4K purchases I have to view, two Pacino films, 'Scarface' and 'Carlitos Way'. There's a few other movies I will add to the list nearer the time!
I love The Fearless Vampire Killers (Or Dance of the Vampires as i know it) I must get myself a copy on DVD or Bluray.
Ha! I had an unused voucher for the gaming chain of shops, CEX and managed to bag a second hand copy of The Fearless Vampire Killers. Look forward to seeing it again!
Enjoy mate! Love the atmosphere Polanski creates. Great score , the unique Jack McGowan. Ferdy Maynes silky voice over, and the beautiful tragic Sharon Tate, and that marvellous twist ending!
Thanks bud. I saw it about 30 years ago and don't remember much of it even though i know i enjoyed it.
Most definitely. Lethal Weapon is from the Die Hard school of Christmas movies.
