Batman needs a man of stature. A complete full-on alpha male who's intimidating and menacing. Gyllenhaal is just not that.
Bale was the closest.
Then again, aside from Affleck (and that after seeing him in BvS), I really don't see any live-action Batman to be on par with the image of the character I have in mind from the comics. Kevin Conroy's voice and Bruce Timm's design of the character make the best interpretation of Batman in the motion picture media, and unfortunately that is not live action.
I wonder how are they going to reveal the whole entity of Phase Four, like they did with Phase Three some four years ago.
domestic - $0.67BN
foreign - $1.36BN
total - $2.03BN
I underestimated the power of the global box office, where IW's performance has been rather phenomenal (BP did $0.67BN for comparison) . I also appear to have overestimated its domestic power, where it has arguably underperformed (it's tracking behind Black Panther stateside at present).
Goes to show two things imho: 1. the strength of a phenomenon (which BP was) and 2. the increasing power of global box office.
SW-TFA is at $2.1BN, so IW needs another $70M or thereabouts to eclipse it. So near, and yet so far.

From what I caught in a glimpse, a bunch of pedophilia/rape jokes. He apparently deleted over 10,000 tweets.
Anyhow, is this a new wave of communist hunt?
The kicker is he already apologized for them six years ago. So Disney somehow overlooked the tweets, overlooked his apology, and fired him six years later for it. Bad break but that's how it goes when you're in the Hollywood spotlight, gotta be careful.
